How do we find the ‘right’ person? And what if we think we’ve found the ‘wrong’ one?!

Can we depend on our partner? Do they have our best interests at heart? (Even if their way of showing it might not make complete sense for us!)
Can we tell the our uncomfortable truths?
Can we be ourselves with them?

I’ve been doing alot of reading recently around attachment and how our attachment ‘styles’ interact and play out through our relationships as adults.

It’s challenging and beautiful and highlights to me EVEN more how important parents are- and the relationships we have with our partners and our children is.

We lay the foundations for our children’s relationships so taking care of ourselves and investing in our relationships is CRUCIAL for us and our children…

***Sharing*** Autism Central: Free Online Meet-Ups for Grandparents
Funded by NHS England and run by Anna Freud 💙

Grandparents play such an important role in the lives of autistic children — yet support and dedicated spaces for them can be hard to find.

That’s why we’re glad to see Autism Central offering free online meet-ups and access to Peer Guides, with up to 10 one‑to‑one support sessions available.
Let’s not forget that some grandparents may be autistic too, and benefit from a space to connect and be heard.

❤️ An Afternoon for Your Relationship

Come and join Katie and Tash THIS Sunday 29th March at Carisbrooke Family Hub for an afternoon for your relationship.

There will be two facilitators and the idea is that in between short inputs/discussion we can entertain/interact with your children if needed while you have some time to talk…

We will explore different aspects of the Sound Relationship House, how to nurture each other in times of stress, how to share contentious topics so you can each be truly heard and also moments to strengthen your friendship.

It aims to be flexible, informal and supportive, you are encourage to talk to your partner in private but no pressure to share anything in the group.

Please let me know if you are able to come! The time is 1-4 at Carisbrooke Family Hub.

All ages of children welcome just let me know names, how many and what ages they are.

Message us to book! ###

Why love matters? This book by Sue Gerhardt was one of the first books I read while pregnant and boy what a transformational experience it was.

Love is foundational, it shapes our brains from within the womb. It has been great to return to this boom while training this weekend and reflect on how far I’ve come since reading it the first time!
