Many thanks to Debbie from Independent Arts for coming in this afternoon.

It was a most enjoyable project today 😄

We began by drawing out different shapes, then we cut them out, stuck them onto a card, added colourful ink, and then used them to make prints 🎨

Simple but effective, and a nice way to spend a rainy afternoon ❤️

In the picture below we have Chan, Liz, myself, Alison, and Sarah, many of you will recongise them from visiting us with their Shetland ponies and all the pleasure this brought to our residents and visitors.
unfortunately Liz passed away last Saturday, which obviously has come as a massive shock and great sadness,
we at solent grange would like to give back to help take away a little pressure and buy some supplies to help towards the ponies at Shettie Land - This was Liz's fondest of hobbies and past times with all of the Shetlands and of course home life for Chan, if you don't know them, they were the best of friends, not just mother and daughter, they did everything together including their love for horses especially Shetlands and their beloved Shettie Land, while the path ahead is unknown, we want Chan to know people are here to help and feel like she doesn't need to make any changes she may later wish she hadn't.
As you know they have a massive love for Shetlands and over the many years of this love, many of these have been taken on out of pure kindness and the love in Liz's massive heart. As well as showing them at many island shows with great big SHETTIE LAND in bright pink letters, Liz and Chan have also visited the elderly in nursing homes numerous times.
In such a hearting breaking situation, I'd like to hope we, as a community can pull together to help in any way, with donations, no matter how big or small to the go fund me, donations of feed, straw and hay are so greatly welcome, if you can't donate please please keep sharing as every share is massively appreciated too, or even tag a business or charity you think may also donate or help in any way.....
what the ponies like:

mole valley range of feed which are pony nuts, cool mix and molassed chaff,

sugar beet pellets 24hr soak

but there faviourite thing is ginger biscuites but not mcvities

hay

Had a little game of armchair football this afternoon.

Residents took turns taking free kicks into the goal, and with each round the goal got smaller and smaller.

The eventual winner of the competition was Annette 🏆
