Breast Cancer Now 🎈🎈🎈

Today we held a bric a brac and cake stall for a very special charity which I think most of us would or have known someone who has suffered with this awful condition.

It was lovely to see family and friends come together for this special day❤️❤️
Massive shoutout to the hospitality team, once again the cakes were amazing 🤩 We’d like to say a big thank you to families who donated items for our bric a brac stall as always 😘😘 without you this wouldn’t of happened 💕💕

What a lovely morning shopping with two special ladies. It was overcast for most of our shopping trip but warm and ladies loved the feel of the warm air on them😍The heavens did open on our way back but this didn’t seem to phase them. They found it quite funny and said the rain felt warm on them and they have been caught in the rain many of times 🌧️☔️🌦️

We visited a few shops, garden centre 🪴🪻and the pet shop to look at the different animals, neither of them were keen on the Rats 🐀 but loved the tropical fish 🐠
We finished the shopping trip with a cup of tea ☕️ and slice of cake 🍰

Lovely to hear them reminisce about the local area and sharing memories 😍

Who needs Wimbledon when we got amazing tennis players at Capel. We had so much fun, lots of laughter 😆

The sun came out☀️but only for a short time and then the heavens opened 🌧️but that didn’t stop us from enjoying our summer garden BBQ and live entertainment with Sonny 🎶🕺Family and friends gathered together and enjoyed burgers and hot dogs cooked on the BBQ side orders of salad, coleslaw and potato salad all washed down with a ice cold drinks 🥤

A few captured moments in the month of June that we’d like to share from Capel Grange care home. We’ve been busy as usual. We been practicing for our sharing event on the 16th July with the Forget-me-not Chorus 🎶 we had a visit from the Memory Man. Arts and crafts, knit and natter and chair yoga 🧘 Music Therapy with Rebekah 🎺We celebrated Father’s Day with entertainment and a fabulous 3 course meal 🥘 washed down with a beer 🍺 We welcomed the bike riders for championing Social Care 🚴🚴‍♀️ Ladies ascot day where our ladies sipped on prosecco 🥂 and ate strawberries 🍓 dipped in chocolate . Monday morning entertainment from Lee MusiCare, his voice was amazing.🤩 and not to forget our regular Fine dining experience. Busy bees 🐝

LADIES ASCOT DAY HELD AT CAPEL GRANGE 👒🎀🏇🏇🍾🥂🥂🍾🎂🎂🍰🧁🍷

Lovely morning for our beautiful ladies. They all gathered together down stairs in the lounge which was decorated to the max 💐💖The morning started off by having their pictures taken with different colours and shapes of fascinators in their hair and wow they looked amazing 💕❤️

They all enjoyed a glass of Prosecco 🍾🥂strawberry’s dipped in chocolate 🍓assorted sandwiches and cakes, scones with clotted cream and jam and a gateaux ❤️ whilst watching the big day on the tv 📺

Fine dining experience at its best ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

At Capel grange we focus on creating an enjoyable social occasion with quality food and a pleasant atmosphere. We have created a dedicated dining space, set up like a restaurant. Music is played in the back ground. A choice of refreshments is served along side a delicious 3 course meal. They deserve the best 💕❤️

Yesterday we hosted a welcoming reception for The Great British Care Cycle Relay 🚴🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️🚵‍♀️

As they approach Capel Grange the staff and elders were sat waiting patiently ready to give out there biggest cheer 📣 and that they did with great excitement 😁😁 flags were waved as the horns on the cars were beeped too.

They were overwhelmed with the support and encouragement from everyone. They enjoyed fruit and soft drinks supplied by our fab kitchen staff whilst listening to music, recharging their batteries ready for their last leg.

What an amazing thing to do 👏👏and we were even more excited that you chose our home to promote the incredible work within the social care sector.Thank you 💕

The Great British Cycle Relay's leg through Cardiff is part of a larger event organized by Championing Social Care to celebrate Care Home Open Week. This leg will cover 125km, with cyclists starting at Llys Herbert Care Home at 9:00 am on Sunday, June 15. The relay aims to highlight the work of care homes and is expected to involve over 70 cyclists. The final leg of the relay will finish in London, coinciding with the start of Care Home Open Week on June 16.

The Cardiff leg is the fourth in the relay, following legs in Edinburgh, York, and Nottingham. The final leg will be a 110km ride from Brighton to London. Championing Social Care encourages the public to cheer on the cyclists and participate in care home events along the route

Hi everyone, we are back 😍💕

Here’s a few pictures just to show you what we’ve been up too over the last few weeks. We’ve been busy as usual. Lots of things going on. We’ve been busy in the garden potting and planting flowers 🌺 practicing for our sharing event with the Forget-me-not Chorus 🎶keeping ourselves fit and motivated with exercise classes and Yoga 🧘 Ball games ☄️arts and crafts 🎨🖌️knit and natter, live entertainment, relaxation therapy and not to forget our weekly bingo and more.

What an amazing celebration for a remarkable day VE Day 🇬🇧 80th anniversary.

Family and friends gathered together to share memories, whilst enjoying a traditional street party and live music with the fabulous Richard Beavis.

We had so much fun,dancing, singing, plenty of delicious food and live entertainment 🎊🕺

Massive shout out to all the staff involved, kitchen for the amazing food, Leighton and Laura for all the decorations and everyone else who made it happen.👏👏👏👏👏
