At Identified Health Care, we truly cherish and value our incredible staff. Their hard work, dedication, and compassion are the heart of everything we do. 💙

To show our appreciation, we hosted a special staff celebration towards the end of May — and what a night it was! 🎶 A fantastic band all the way from Brighton set the mood with live music, creating a fun, uplifting atmosphere that had everyone smiling, dancing, and enjoying the moment.

It was a wonderful evening filled with laughter, good vibes, and well-deserved recognition for our team. We’re proud to have such an inspiring group of individuals at IHC, and we’re so grateful for everything they do.

What’s it like being a carer?

It’s a question I get asked sometimes—and the truth is, it’s both beautiful and challenging in ways that can be hard to describe.

My mind is always focused on empowerment.
I’m constantly thinking about how to support the person I care for in a way that honours their dignity and independence. It's about helping them do as much as they can for themselves, making sure their voice is heard, their choices respected, and that they feel seen and valued every step of the way.

My mind is also constantly managing my own energy—emotionally, mentally, and physically.
Caregiving is deeply meaningful, but it can also be exhausting. Every day requires patience, compassion, and resilience. I’m always trying to strike the balance between being present for someone else while also taking care of myself—because burnout is real, and I can’t pour from an empty cup.

To be a carer is to live with your heart wide open—holding space for someone else’s needs while learning, over time, how to hold space for your own, too. ❤️

To all the carers out there—you’re not alone.🫶
