Did you know that if you text HOME to 741741 at a time when you may be feeling depressed or suicidal, a crisis worker will text you back immediately and will continue to text with you? Many people, especially younger ones, don't like talking over the phone and would feel more comfortable texting. This is a free service for anyone - if you would like to join us in raising awareness, please share this post.

In the spring of 2026, Langstone Vale will be the first crematorium of its kind in Wales.

This development will allow us to offer families even more choice when saying goodbye, with enhanced chapel facilities, immersive audio-visual technology and greater flexibility to create services that truly reflect the life, personality and wishes of their loved one.

We are committed to providing a caring, supportive and beautiful setting where families can remember, reflect and celebrate life in a way that feels right for them.

Today our four legged employees, Gus and Ferris, took our Christmas shoebox donations and other donations down to Newport City Dogs Home Rehoming centre for their Christmas appeal ❤️

We hope all the doggies and the wonderful staff that work there have a lovely Christmas 🎅🏻

(Gus wasn’t particularly interested in being in a photo 😂)

This will be amazing ❤️

We’re proud to share some exciting news...

In 2026 we will become a funeral SuperVenue, the first of its kind in Wales and the 6th across the Westerleigh Group.

This development will allow us to offer families even more choice when saying goodbye, with enhanced chapel facilities, immersive audio-visual technology and greater flexibility to create services that truly reflect the life, personality and wishes of their loved one.

Our commitment remains the same: to provide a caring, supportive and beautiful setting where families can remember, reflect and celebrate life in a way that feels right for them.

Grief is like spilling a tub of glitter.
In the beginning, it’s everywhere! On your hands, in your hair, scattered across every corner of your life. You try to clean it up, to restore some sense of order, and for a while, it seems like you’ve succeeded. But then one day, you move a sofa or open a forgotten drawer, and there it is again. A tiny sparkle that catches the light and reminds you of what you lost.
It doesn’t go away completely. It settles, becomes quieter, less overwhelming. You learn to live with it, to carry it gently. And years later, when you find a bit of that glitter tucked behind a shelf, you might smile. Maybe even laugh. Because it reminds you of love, of connection, of someone who mattered deeply.
Eventually, something will catch your eye.. a photo, a favourite song, a familiar scent, and instead of pain, you’ll feel warmth. That’s the quiet truth about grief. It stays with you, but it changes. It becomes a part of your story, a soft echo of the love that never really left.
