Sometimes being a funeral director is going to Tesco on a Saturday night and clearing them out of Beef and Tomato pot noodles 😅

Today we conducted the funeral of a much loved lady, who loved nothing more than a Beef and Tomato pot noodle 🥩 🍅
With a pot noodle themed order of service, it felt only right that the congregation should have a pot noodle of Sandra’s favourite flavour to take home and enjoy in her memory, so we placed pot noodles on the pews at the crematorium.
Being able to implement unique personal touches such as this makes me so proud of what we do, and I thank every single family that trusts us to take care of their loved ones, it means more than you know 🫶🏻

A lovely weekend spent in Stratford-Upon-Avon for the SAIF independent funeral directors AGM. It was so beneficial to learn from other funeral directors, both from the UK 🇬🇧 and across the pond 🇺🇸 about the ways in which they serve families in their local communities.
There were also some interesting conversations had about the new legislations coming in to the funeral profession, and how we as funeral directors can be best prepared to care for families and their loved ones.
We are proud to uphold the standards required to be a member of SAIF, we look forward to attending next year! 🎩

You may have seen the recent news about a large national funeral provider being investigated over potentially misleading reviews.

This is really upsetting because when families are arranging a funeral, trust is everything.

People turn to reviews for reassurance.
They want to know that their loved one will be cared for with dignity, kindness and respect.

That's why we are so proud to have genuine reviews on Facebook and Google from the families we have supported.

Each one tells a real story.
Each one reflects a real family.

In our profession trust has to be earned, not manufactured.

As an independent funeral director, myself and the team will always stand for honesty, compassion and doing the right thing. We are proud to serve the community of Newport, and we are so grateful for every review that we receive from the families that we take care of.

Today we delivered the donations of Easter eggs to Raven House Trust Food Bank
Thank you to everyone who made a donation, these eggs will make Easter a little bit brighter for families that are less fortunate 🐣🐰🍫

We’ve had a fantastic response to our Easter egg appeal for Raven House Trust Food Bank so far! ☺️
Our friends at Newport City football club have also very generously offered to help us by offering half price tickets AND a complimentary cuppa at next Friday’s match against Treowen Stars, if you bring a boxed Easter egg to donate 🐣🍫⚽️
So if you fancy watching the match while also doing some good for a family in need, come down to Newport stadium on Friday 20th March, kick off is 7:30pm 🙂 We hope to see you there!
