One week on from our successful Open Day at Lake View Care Home, I would like to take a moment, as Manager, to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who helped make the occasion so special.

Firstly, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible team. Your hard work, professionalism, and genuine care were evident in every detail. From the preparation behind the scenes to the warm welcome given to every visitor, you truly showcased the values and standards we are so proud of.

A special thank you goes to our wonderful owners, Steve and Ruth, for their vision, guidance, and unwavering support. Your passion and commitment have made this home possible.

I would also like to recognise and thank my wider English Oak family who travelled from the mainland to support their sister home. Your presence meant a great deal and truly reflects the strength and unity of our wider community.

I would like to offer my sincere thanks to the High Sheriff for officially opening our home. It was an honour to have your support and presence on such an important day.

To our local news reporters, thank you for helping us share our story and for playing such an important role in reaching the wider community. Your support has been invaluable in spreading awareness of what we are building here at Lake View.

A big thank you to Wight Ices for bringing the ice cream van and adding such a fun and memorable touch to the day—it was enjoyed by all. Thank you also to Debbie for the beautiful decorations, which helped create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the home.

Finally, thank you to our local community for the warmth, encouragement, and positivity you have shown us. The feedback and support we have received over the past week have been overwhelming and deeply appreciated.

The success of our Open Day has reinforced our commitment to providing a safe, compassionate, and high-quality home for our residents. We are proud to be part of this community and look forward to building lasting relationships in the months and years ahead.
