We live in a world designed to distract us. Scrolling, working, planning, consuming — there is always something to fill the silence.
And sometimes that’s exactly the point.
Because in the silence, feelings surface. The ones we haven’t processed. The painful ones. The ones that feel too big to sit with.

Reset. It’s a word that means something different to everyone.
For some it’s a holiday. A long sleep. A fresh start on Monday.
But real reset — the kind that actually changes things — goes deeper than that.
I know because I lived it. For a long time I felt like nothing was shifting. I was doing the work, I was trying, but something wasn’t moving.
And then I realised. I didn’t just need to reset how I was thinking. Or how I was feeling.
I needed to reset what I was doing.
Because our thoughts create our feelings. Our feelings drive our behaviour. And our behaviour creates our outcomes. If we want different outcomes we have to be willing to reset at every level — not just the surface.

Have you ever reacted to something and thought — why did I respond like that? That felt way bigger than the situation deserved.
That’s a trigger.
A trigger isn’t really about what’s happening in front of you right now. It’s about something stored inside you from a previous experience — a moment in time where something was either too much or not enough for you.
That unmet need, that overwhelming moment, gets stored in your body and your nervous system. And every time something in your present life resembles that original experience, even slightly, the stored feeling gets activated all over again.
It can feel like overreacting. Like being out of control. Like you don’t understand yourself.
But you’re not overreacting. You’re responding to something much older than this moment.
The path through triggers isn’t to avoid them. It’s to understand them. To get curious about what they’re telling you. To gently give yourself the things you needed back then that you didn’t receive.

Nobody really teaches us how to feel our emotions. And it might be the most important thing we never learned.
So many of us spend our lives running from how we feel. We drink, we scroll, we keep busy, we smoke, we distract ourselves in a hundred different ways.
Not because we’re weak. Because sitting with uncomfortable feelings is genuinely hard when nobody ever showed you how.
But here’s the truth — the only way through a feeling is to actually feel it.
Not fix it. Not analyse it. Not make it go away.
Just sit with it. Without judgement. Allow it to be there. Get comfortable with the discomfort.
Because feelings that are felt move through you. Feelings that are avoided just find other ways out — through anxiety, through anger, through your body, through your behaviour.
You don’t have to do this perfectly. You just have to be willing to start.
