Have you ever been told you’re too much… too needy, too sensitive, too dramatic?

For many of us with ADHD, those words cut deeper than most people realise.

When I was diagnosed, I discovered something that completely changed how I understood myself: Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD). It’s not just “being sensitive” - it can feel like intense, overwhelming emotional pain, sometimes even physical.

For so long, I thought I just needed to “toughen up.” Now I know there’s nothing wrong with feeling deeply, but there is a need for understanding, support and the right tools.

That’s why I’m creating a support hub for RSD, a space where nothing is “too much,” and you don’t have to minimise who you are.

Today feels like a really special moment to share something new.

Alongside working with individuals in my clinics in Newport and Tintern, I’ve also been supporting organisations and small business owners within the workplace.

I wanted to share something personal…

When I experience rejection, it doesn’t just stay with me for a day or two. It can stay with me for months. Situations replay in my mind over and over again, and even things from the past can resurface and feel just as intense. It can become a huge distraction and feel incredibly overwhelming.

Through both my own experience and my work as a qualified Silent Counsellor, I’ve seen just how significant this can be. Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD) is something that shows up so often in the individuals I support and it’s often misunderstood or dismissed as “being too sensitive,” which simply isn’t the case.

That’s why I’m really pleased to be launching a new Inner Belief RSD Support Hub webinar, alongside a private Facebook group.

This will be a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space to learn more about RSD, understand why it happens, and explore ways to manage it more gently.

After recognising I needed to slow down, I gave myself permission to pause and to return to the very things I often recommend to others.

One of those is reflexology.

I wanted to share something a little personal today…

Recently, I felt my energy getting really low. I just wanted to hide away, but I kept going, telling myself I was “fine.”

Until my body decided otherwise.

It made me stop.

And the truth is - I knew the signs. I’ve been here before. As a therapist, I even teach others how to recognise them. But it’s so easy to forget to listen to ourselves.

This isn’t a post for sympathy, it’s a gentle nudge.

If your body has been whispering to you… don’t wait until it has to shout.

Take some time this week just for you. Rest. Breathe. Reset.
