Michelle recently travelled to City London where she was invited to their flagship store to further her specialist skills in skin camouflage. This technique is used to help reduce the appearance of skin conditions such as scarring, pigmentation, and other visible skin concerns including prosthetics.

This additional training allows us to further support patients not just clinically but mentally, helping them feel more confident in their skin. We now offer this service at no cost to NHS patients with a referral from a medical professional.

Supporting both skin health and confidence across the Isle of Wight.

Eczema is often misunderstood as just “dry skin”, but in reality it’s a complex condition that affects the skin barrier, sensitivity, and overall comfort.

Understanding what triggers it and how to manage it properly can make a significant difference to both skin health and quality of life.

With summer approaching, it’s important to remember that eczema is nothing to hide. Managing your skin with confidence is just as important as treating it.

👉 If your skin isn’t improving, it’s always worth seeking advice.

Awareness is the first step to better skin health.

If you work outdoors, your skin health should be part of your overall health and wellbeing ☀️

Glenn highlights something that’s often overlooked, regular sun exposure through work can increase the risk of long-term skin damage.

Whether you’re in construction, landscaping, agriculture, or any role that keeps you outside, protecting your skin isn’t just about comfort, it’s about prevention.

Simple steps like checking your skin regularly, wearing protection, and seeking advice if something changes can make a real difference over time.

👉 Skin health is health.

We work with Isle of Wight businesses to support staff wellbeing through education and skin checks.

Out in the community, where it matters most 💙

Our team recently spent time at the Alzheimer Cafe Isle of Wight at Parklands, offering skin and health checks while connecting with members of the local community.

These moments are about more than just checks, they’re about creating a supportive space, raising awareness, and making healthcare more accessible for Islanders.

We’re proud to work alongside community groups and continue supporting the health and wellbeing of the Isle of Wight.

An update from Glenn 👟

Glenn’s continuing to stay consistent with his walking, and it’s a powerful reminder that small daily habits can have a big impact on long-term health.

Just 30 minutes of walking each day has been shown to significantly reduce the risk of dementia, alongside supporting cardiovascular health, mobility, and overall wellbeing.

It doesn’t have to be intense or perfect, just consistent.

👉 Getting outside, moving regularly, and building simple habits all add up over time.

If you’ve been thinking about getting started, take this as your sign.

It’s a small way for us to show our support for Tula, a brave young girl in our community who is currently fighting AML Leukaemia.

If you can, please take a moment to read her story and support her and her family during this incredibly difficult time.

Every share and donation really does make a difference 💙
