Carers IW

Carers IW We offer a range of services and support to unpaid adult carers of adults. Please ring us on 533173 and leave us a message.

Carers IW is based at the Riverside in Newport

We offer a range of services and support to unpaid adult carers of adults. The Carers IW team provides information, support and advocacy to adults who look after another adult. They might be caring for a parent, partner or friend with physical or mental health needs. Alternatively it may be that the person they care for has for example has a substance misuse problem and needs to be supported on an occasional basis. We work with carers who either live on the Isle of Wight or care for someone living on the Isle of Wight. As a charity, we have supported carers for 30 years. We are here to work with carers to ensure they receive the right support and information at the right time, enabling Carers to carry on looking after their relatives, friends and neighbours. If you require information about your role as a carer please do ring us.

Isle of Wight cancer services – have your say on improvements!

Healthwatch Isle of Wight is running an important new piece of work in partnership with NHS Wessex Cancer Alliance.

We want to hear from Island residents whose lives have been affected by cancer, whether as patients, carers, family members or supporters.

We are gathering feedback about experiences of cancer services on the Isle of Wight, including screening, diagnosis, travel, treatment, communications, aftercare, and any other experiences within approximately the last 18 months.

Your feedback will directly help shape future improvements to cancer services on the Island!

How to take part:
β€’ Scan the QR code to complete the questionnaire
β€’ Pick up a paper copy at GP practices and community venues
β€’ Meet us at a community event
β€’ Or contact us directly for a 1-to-1 conversation

The survey will run until Friday 26th April 2026.

Please share this post so it reaches anyone who may want to take part.
