AN APOLOGY - Sunday - Phones down from around 4pm to 7:30pm
Yesterday afternoon (Sunday) around 4pm our fiber-optic connection to the web went down. The team discovered the fact the the phones weren't working at 6:30 and I was immediately alerted (sadly I was 25 miles away).
I headed home, whilst calling our support team, Connexis, who went online and came back confirming it was a power failure at our end. When I got back I discovered the the UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply - the irony wasn't lost on me either ๐) had failed and shut down the whole rack of equipment - fiber-optic/ phones/ network/ WiFi ports etc.
At around 7:30pm,, I removed the UPS from the circuit and we were back up and running (lets hope we don't have a power cut before a new one is installed later this week!).
I suspect that our phones would have been 'number unattainable' during this time, so if you were trying to get through to the home then sorry ๐!
