OLIVE'S 107th BIRTHDAY
Yesterday we threw a party, partly for Easter but mostly to celebrate Olive's incredible milestone. Many of her family came as well as lovely tributes from other resident's families (thank you!)

We celebrated with a cream tea and prosecco!

We also had a visit from Martyn from the Shropshire Star!

Thank you to all that were able to come and make this a very special celebration for Olive. 💜

Very special day tomorrow - we are hosting an Easter party but combining it with celebrating Olives 107th birthday

This was Olive today with the animals - she is really looking forward to tomorrow!!!

The Farm On Wheels came to Sambrook today. What a fabulous afternoon!!!
Chicks, Guineapigs, Rabbits (mum and baby), Goats (Mum and baby) and a lamb
There are loads of photos to enjoy - it was MAGICAL!

NIGHT CARER VACANCY
Sadly we have parted company with a night carer, which leaves an EXCITING OPPORTUNITY for someone to join our award-winning team of carers.

We have a position for 36hrs (3 nights) one week, and 24hrs (2 nights) the second week, PLUS cover. We are seeking a qualified carer to join our dedicated and friendly team (ideally NVQ2 or above)
We would also consider offering an additional post to someone wanting BANK care on nights - we currently have one carer on maternity leave.

WE ARE OPEN AGAIN
I am delighted to say that we are open once more. Our staff (who are seeing every client) will continue to wear masks for a few days - it is up to you whether you wish to, when you see your loved one.

** UPDATE **
I am delighted to be able to report that all those that went down with the virus last week are recovering well. In line with the advice we have received from UKHCA and the Health Protection Hub (saying it is safe to reopen the home, 5 days from the last person to have initial symptoms), we expect to reopen to visitors on

TUESDAY 3rd. We will confirm this tomorrow

Can I say a huge THANK YOU to everyone for their understanding and support, and to Gill and all the staff for their professionalism. With everyone's help we have managed to limit the number of people that have become infected (including 3 staff members!) and they are all recovering well

~IMPORTANT NOTICE ~ Tuesday 24th February 2026
Gill has taken the decision to close the home for a few days, to all but essential visitors. We have several residents who are suffering from a respiratory virus, and so to protect them and everyone else we need to restrict visiting. As per the notice on the front door we hope to reopen by Monday next - we will keep you informed.

In the mean time staff are wearing masks and residents are being asked to remain in their rooms (as much as is possible)
