Stopping these 5 THINGS in my yoga practice has helped everything fall into place

Yoga is called a “practice” for a reason, because it’s lifelong and we’ll never stop being students — we’ll just be able to navigate some things with more confidence than other sometimes

What runs through all these things is not putting pressure on myself, my body, or my students

When we remove pressure, we give ourselves the space to be in much deeper union with ourselves, and I’ve loved the journey to realising this

Hatha has been the foundation of yoga for me in so many ways

Hatha yoga includes your foundational poses and movements that feel familiar and strong, and help you connect so deeply with your breath and body

For me, hatha underpins everything I teach, and it’s the beginning of my whole journey

In Sanskrit, Hatha means “force” or “effort”, but when broken down into “Ha” and “Tha”, it means “sun” and “moon”, and represents the union of the active or passive, masculine or feminine, and hot or cold energies within us, and it’s a movement meant to prepare us for our meditation (shavasana) ✨

Another month, another YogaXPilates Workshop ✨🤍

Thank you so so much to everyone who joined us as we honoured the February Snow Moon and welcomed in the approaching year of the Fire Horse 🔥 It’s always a beautiful morning spending it with all of you in the hall and at and we’re always grateful for your time and energy 🙏🏽

This year is all about investing more of my time, energy, and love of yoga into the spaces that really need it 🤍🫶🏽

Designed for busy teams, community groups, and groups of friends or family members, my workshops are a 2-hour window to deeply rest and reconnect with your body, mind and soul ✨

I’ll guide you through a gentle Hatha flow, followed by a meditative relaxation with sound. The workshops are ideal for all beginners to yoga, and are designed to bring people together — from busy processionals needing to unwind, or groups looking to celebrate something special
