My husband and I would just like to say a huge thank you to the wonderful midwives in triage, the labour and delivery suite and then the amazing Dr’s and the 2 lovely anaesthetists for bringing my beautiful baby girl into this world on the 29th of October, we weren’t expecting her arrival that day as we had a planned section for the 3rd of November, but she wanted to come then. The care from the team was phenomenal and we felt really safe and taken care of in their hands, and once she was born and I went to the ward, the ladies were amazing too and a very special thank you to the wonderful midwife, Dilly, who took exceptional care of my the weekend prior to our baby girls arrival and then post op too, she is definitely an asset to the team.!. Thank you again to everyone.!. Michael and Cassandra Milne and two very proud siblings, Trent and Cadence🤗🌸 Skylah Rose Milne born 29th of October 🌸

Just wanted to send a message hoping that it will reach the staff on the labour ward at the grange. We had our baby girl on the 10/11/25 and I just wanted to say how incredible the staff were. This was our first baby and I cannot thank the team for everything they were amazing. Every single person who was involved in mine and baby girls care I just want to let them know how thankful I am. We decided to name our baby girl Isla Rose Perry and would like the team to know this as we didn’t name her at the time of birth. Thank you again for everything , Alisha , Wes and baby Isla ###

To cope with a crying baby, first check their basic needs, are they hungry, have a wet nappy, need to burp or be held? Offer comfort through gentle movements like swaying, rocking or taking a walk, gentle sounds like humming or singing as well as skin-to-skin contact can also help soothe a crying baby.

It can be hard work and upsetting caring for a crying baby. If it is getting too much for you, put your baby in a safe place and leave the room for a moment until you feel calmer. Never shake your baby as this can seriously damage their brain.

Nature wants us to give ourselves up entirely to our baby’s needs and that’s why you also need help and support from others. Many new parents are so focussed on their baby’s needs that they can end up neglecting themselves entirely. So remember again to be kind to yourself. It’s a big job and it’s okay to ask for help, support or just a cwtch when you need it.
