The Newport Antenatal team are excited to share, that after consultation, they are extending their new wellbeing group to both parents to be and those with new babies, up to 12 weeks old.

The first of these fortnightly groups starts on:
📅 Tuesday 14th April, 1-2pm
📍 Dolman Theatre, Newport, NP20 1HY

Everyone is welcome, including partners and babies up to 12 weeks old.

There's still a few spaces left on the next Newport Antenatal Course, it's free for parents-to-be, partners and family members or friends. It's recommended that the mother should be 20+ weeks pregnant to attend.

Have you heard of Parent/CarerLine? It’s a new SMS text service for parents/carers of children aged 5 to 16 in Aneurin Bevan University Health Board206 for advice and support with your child's health and wellbeing.

Our nurses can help with a range of physical and emotional health issues, including: Emotional Wellbeing, Toileting, Immunisations, Low Mood, Exam Stress, Self Harm, Behaviour, Relationships, Healthy Eating & more.

** Texts are replied to Monday - Friday 8:30 - 16:30 (excluding bank holidays) If you need help in the meantime, visit GP out of hours by calling NHS 111. If it is an emergency, dial 999 or visit A&E.

We are renewing our ‘philosophy of care’ document for our Alongside birth centre at the Grange (midwife led unit). We would love your thoughts on these two options. Our birthing rooms have ‘tree’ names so we hoped to keep the tree pictures.
Please just let us know which colours you prefer, if you like the wording or if you have any other suggestions.
The wording has been based on feedback from women and families.
