People often arrive to me believing anxiety is the problem.
Or overthinking.
Or low confidence.
Or the inability to switch off.
But those things are rarely the root cause.
They're usually intelligent adaptations.
Responses the mind and body developed to keep us safe.
Because the subconscious mind is extraordinary.
It learns.
It predicts.
It protects.
And if at some point in life it learnt that the world wasn't entirely safe, that love had to be earned, that conflict should be avoided, that perfection prevented criticism or that being ‘good’ kept everyone happy...
It will continue running those programmes long after they're needed.
Not because you're broken.
Because your mind is doing exactly what it was designed to do.
The problem is that many of us are living from patterns created by younger versions of ourselves.
Versions that were simply trying to survive.
My work is about helping people understand those patterns.
Not just intellectually.
But emotionally.
Physiologically.
Subconsciously.
Together we explore the beliefs, experiences and protective strategies that have quietly shaped your life.
The things beneath the anxiety.
Beneath the self-doubt.
Beneath the people-pleasing.
Beneath the feeling that no matter how much you achieve, it's never quite enough.
Because healing isn't about becoming someone new.
It's about shedding what was never truly you.
Like a snake releasing an old skin it has outgrown.
Not because the skin was wrong.
But because it no longer fits.
Again and again I witness the same thing.
People arrive convinced they need fixing.
Then discover they were never broken at all.
They were carrying beliefs, fears, responsibilities and expectations that belonged to old chapters of their lives.
And when those begin to fall away...
Something remarkable happens.
They don't become somebody else.
They become more of themselves.
Calmer.
Stronger.
More authentic.
More free.
That is my work.
Not fixing.
