This weekend you can get The Boathouse deliveried to your door on Friday evening, Saturday evening and Sunday lunchtime... including delicious Roasts.

Our first delivery trial run last week went really well, thank you to everyone that placed an order with us, we hope you all enjoyed your food.

Deliveries will run everyweekend upto the 15th December, so if you don't want to head out let us bring The Boathouse to you.

Online orders only, pre-order available. Current delivery radius of 4 miles but we are hoping to increase this soon.

New Year, time to take care of your Ears!

With 2024 just around the corner, we wanted to remind you of your ear health, and what you can do now and in 2024 to keep your ears healthy and happy.

- Stop using cotton buds. They push Ear Wax further into the ear canal and can cause blockages. Your ears naturally push ear wax out of your ears and clean themselves, however if they aren’t conducting this process effectively – we can help!
- Keep your ears dry - this means after a shower, after being in the ocean. If you love the water, it could be worth purchasing a set of ear-plugs to stop water ingress.
- Have an ear Health Survey – here at Kernow Ear Care, we offer a survey of your inner ear using an endoscopic camera. This can help you to understand more about your ear health, and if there are any issues, we will do our best to relieve them or point you in the direction of someone who can.

Needing a last-minute appointment before the festive period?

We are going to close our clinic from 17th December through to 3rd January, so if you need our assistance before Christmas make sure to book an appointment this week.

If you need an emergency appointment, please still give us a call as we will be able to accommodate a small number of Home Visit Appointments over the festive period.

Hedgehog Highways are small corridors that can be installed at the bottom of your garden fence, and they provide hedgehogs with access to your garden for food, water, and shelter. Hedgehog highways help the hedgehogs in their quest to find food and a mate.

One of the main reasons hedgehogs are struggling in Britain is because our fences and walls are becoming more and more secure, reducing the amount of land available to them. Hedgehog Highways are easy to install and go a long way towards helping our spiny friends on their journey.

You can collect your Hedgehog Highway free of charge from the Visit Newquay Tourist Information Centre (whilst stocks last). Proof of a Newquay address is required. 🦔🌲

What should you expect for an Ear Wax Removal Appointment?

The idea of an appointment involving your ears can be daunting, but if you know what to expect you will know that there is nothing to be fearful of.

If you book an Ear Wax Removal appointment because you have a wax issue, we recommend that you use Olive Oil ear drops before your appointment. This means that your ear wax will be softer, and this will make it easier for us to remove.

The first stage of your appointment, we will take a photograph of your ear canal and show you what we can see. We will then be able to discuss any issues and possible treatments for you.

If there is a build-up of wax, we will use a microscopic suction implement alongside the camera to remove as much ear wax as is possible on the day. There are times where this can take multiple appointments to clear completely, usually due to the type or amount of wax found.

We will then take a second set of photographs and show you the results!
