Prostate cancer usually develops slowly, so there may be no signs for many years.
👴🏾However, the chances of developing prostate cancer increase as you get older. Most cases develop in men aged 50 or older and prostate cancer is more common in black men.

Kernow Health are running catch up clinics in our area for children in Years 7-11 who may have missed their routine school vaccinations, including:

▪ HPV vaccine - from Year 8 (for both boys and girls)
▪ Tetanus, Diphtheria and Polio (Td/IPV) - final booster from Year 9
▪ Meningitis ACWY - from Year 9

If you're not sure whether your child has missed a vaccination, please get in touch with Kernow Health. Their team can check your childs record and book them into a clinic if needed.

Demand on our services is now very high. As a result, routine calls will be pre-booked up to two weeks ahead. Medical emergencies will receive a call-back on the same day.

We ask that patients with internet access request their appointments via the Narrowcliff website; this is the quickest way to access appointments.

Please help us to prioritise those with the most urgent needs in our community and improve efficiency and sustainability within the practice. All our staff are working incredibly hard - we thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

By expanding the services community pharmacies offer, the NHS is aiming to help free up GP appointments and give people more choice in how and where they access care.

Don't wait for minor health concerns to get worse – think pharmacy first and get seen by your local pharmacy team.

There’s nearly 100 pharmacies across Cornwall that can offer medical advice and help with these health conditions:

• Earache (age 1 to 17)
• Sinusitis (age 12 and over)
• Sore throat (age 5 and over)
• Infected insect bite
• Impetigo, a skin infection
• Shingles (age 18 and over)
• Uncomplicated urinary tract infections in women (age 16 to 64)
