🩹 EYFS 2024: Paediatric First Aid – Are You Compliant? 🩹

Big changes are coming from 1st September under the updated EYFS framework:

✅ Trainees, students, and apprentices must now hold a valid Paediatric First Aid (PFA) certificate to be counted in ratios.
⛔ Apprentices under 17 cannot count in ratios – even if they’re PFA trained.
✔️ Trainees must be competent and working towards a qualification to be included.

🍽️ And remember: While children are eating, at least one staff member with a valid PFA certificate must be present at all times.

💡 It’s the responsibility of each setting to ensure PFA training is delivered by a competent, OFQUAL-regulated provider – like In Safe Hands Training.
