Saltwater Yoga

Saltwater Yoga I like yoga and sharing it with people. Free Yoga Nidra meditation if you sign up to my newsletter: I also love food, which is one of the reasons I surf so much

I am a yoga teacher and surf coach from the UK who has moved around quite a bit. I love to explore, and can currently be found playing in the Atlantic Ocean or teaching yoga in Portugal. The name Saltwater Yoga came about not because of proximity to, or immersion in the ocean but from the connection that I have with it and the feeling I get when I’m in or near the sea. The sea has been a great teacher to me and I will forever enjoy being its student. Since moving to the coast, both saltwater and yoga have been the catalysts to the changes in my life. They have helped me to change my career, my health, my friendships and they have also facilitated my restless nature by making it acceptable for me to travel! I want to use Saltwater Yoga to share my experiences with yoga and the ocean and pass them on through teaching, even as I continue to be a student myself. The sea has give me patience, balance, and a greater understanding of the way I treat myself and those around me.

Join and me in beautiful Sri Lanka for the friendliest surf & yoga retreat around!

A couple of last minute spaces available, it’s not too late to book 💃 Message me for more info

Sri Lanka, nestled in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, offers a perfect blend of diverse surf breaks and a unique cultural experience. With a varied coastline made up of easy, deepwater reef breaks and lovely beachies, the island caters to surfers of all levels, from beginners to seasoned pros.

Weligama, Ahangama, and Midigama are renowned for their consistency, each providing the distinct surf conditions that make Sri Lanka an attractive choice for all levels of surfer. Along with the consistency of its swells throughout the year, the appeal of this area – especially between November to March – are the mellow, warm, easy peelers that suit alternative surf craft perfectly. Think long, reeling, chest high waves, perfect for longboards, fishes, mid-lengths and mini-mals.

The winds are predictable, offshore in the mornings – giving us beautiful, glassy conditions until the onshore winds arrive around midday - giving us time to eat, chill, read & rejuvenate with some yoga. And nap, of course. And then, if we’re lucky, the winds can change again, just in time for a sunset surf.

Oh, and all of this is sans wetsuit. Dream.

I can’t wait - if you can’t make it maybe you know someone who would like to join us? Share away ☀️
