Andrew Richards was born and raised in Newquay, and his connection to the community has shaped both his life and his career. He began working in funeral directing at just 16 years old, guided by the values of care, respect, and professionalism instilled by his grandfather & father. For many years, Andrew proudly served local families through the well-known family business, A C Richards & Son. In 2023, Andrew rebranded the business to Andrew Richards Funeral Services, marking a new chapter while preserving the trusted heritage and compassionate service that families have relied upon for generations. Andrew’s wife, Karen, plays an active and valued role in the day-to-day care of families and the smooth running of the service. Together, Andrew and Karen bring warmth, sincerity, and dedication to every aspect of their work. Here for Our Community

Stanley's first day!

Today was a very special milestone for us 🐾

Our 8½ week old Golden Retriever puppy, Stanley, had his very first day at work! 💛

Stanley is at the very beginning of what we hope will be a meaningful journey — with the intention of him becoming a therapy dog to gently support the bereaved families we care for at Andrew Richards Funeral Services.

We know how important comfort, warmth, and companionship can be during difficult times, and we hope that one day Stanley will play a small but heartfelt role in bringing that comfort to those who need it most.

For now, he’s learning the ropes, enjoying plenty of cuddles, and already bringing smiles to the team here at Marcus Hill, Newquay.

Welcome to the team, Stanley 🐶
