What a year it’s been 💔. The worst one I’ve known as a caring loving friend first and foremost but also as a manager. To many lives lost 💔😓.

I sincerely hope 2025 is going to be kinder to all of us.

Tonight is the last post from us as a Charity and we want you to know we have loved our 7 years being here in a listening, feeding, housing, cooking hot meals etc etc role.

I know this is an end of an era however we will still be around in other capacities so don’t dispair.

As one door closes another opens and it will trust me please 🙏❤️🥰.

We are proud of what we have achieved. Newquay we love you and always will.

Goodbye for now and comments are switched off as we want you all to still see the photos and memories but this really is the end for DISC as you knew it so no more posts or comments 😢❤️🥰 ###xx

I have one last plea to you all that have been donating to us!

I will never support National Charities with lots of employees!

And that ask a million questions. You all know who I am referring at.

So I ask you to donate to Newquay Towan Blystra Lions, Pot Noodle Ministries January and February and to our fabulous Beth Mitchell who runs Soulfood ❤️❤️ that way you know your money goes to the real people in our Community!

We might be closed however so much sadness of lost friends and family has to bring us back once again 💔😢.

We send deepest condolences to all of those who’s loved once departed this week and over Christmas.

We hope they are at peace and with their loved ones.

Please don’t judge people over their life style choices as you don’t know why it led them to be in such dispair 😢😓.

We sincerely hope that 2025 will bring lots of live changing moments.

Please look after those you love the most as love ❤️ is always going to be the answer in my opinion. Don’t give up ever ###xx

CLOSED!

Here’s the post that everyone has waited for 💔😓😢 it’s with heartfelt emotions I can’t describe as it’s an end of an era.

I am writing this as me as I want to thank all of the volunteers over the years that helped us to become the biggest Charity in Cornwall. Cooking over 1.5 Million meals. We helped thousands into homes, gave out tents and sleeping bags when that was all we could do. We helped with school uniforms, gas, electric, tinned and fresh fruit and vegetables, moral support, referrals to DV and the list goes on.

I want to thank the organisations and businesses that have supported me to be able to do so much for our Community.
There are many as you can see on our page.

This week has been very emotional seeing so many people we helped and giving me hugs and thanks for housing them, feeding them and handing out Christmas presents.

The last year has been tougher than most because of politics, very nasty people and funding however I need to highlight 3 phenomenal people who have had my back every single day, during DISC days but also in my private life Carol, Dave and Joan you are definitely my 3 musketeers and nothing is going to stop us now enjoying a bit of us time.

Today I can say Newquay I love you and we have made 3000+ children happy this Christmas with presents, helped 1750 families out with food excluding several local Newquay schools, Local Care Homes, Bodmin Academy and Penrise St. Austell, gave away hundreds of toys to Children’s Social Services 🎄❤️❤️ so we have definitely gone with a bang 💥 I estimate we have helped about 550+ children and families this Christmas 🎄.

I just hope someone will step up to fill our void and yes I know I built a monster so not likely but hopefully something will come up as a drip 💧 in the ocean always helps ❤️.

Leaves me to say it’s been mostly a privilege and pleasure and I love you Newquay. You will see me so please say hi or give me a hug if you need one.

We are going out with a bang 💥 and have lots of toys on offer still for our local families so Newquay and surrounding areas are all welcome to come and collect 🎁🎄🧑‍🎄 from 1 till 4 please come in and ensure your children have the best Christmas ###xx

This was undoubtedly the best roast dinner we have ever prepared and served, sadly our very last one ❤️🥰😍👏🧑‍🎄🎄.

We had a fantastic day and we have lots of goodies to give out tomorrow from 11 till 2. From 3 till 6 we will be handing out our first round of presents 🎁🎄🧑‍🎄.

Massive thank you for all your donations today, Newquay Hospital, Bodmin Hospital and Trelisk Truro we are so grateful for the food boxes.

Now a massive shoutout for Cash for Kids for the massive donation of toys for our children and thank you to everyone that helped to collect them today 🙏🥰😍❤️ ###

We are back in tomorrow to get all our fresh goodies in ready for Friday ❤️❤️❤️.

Here’s the schedule for the next few days:

Friday open from 11 till 2. For food.
The first round of toys will be available for collection for Newquay and surrounding communities from 3 till 6.

Saturday we will be open again for toy collection from 1 till 4.

Monday will be our final day 😢and once again we will be open for toy collection from 1 till 4.

We hope to see many local families and make this a Christmas to remember ###x

Always bitter sweet days at DISC. One lady passed away today and our thoughts prayers and love are with her family. I seriously hope she’s now at peace.

Tomorrow is our last Toddlers and parents group from 12 till 3. We hope to see many of you.

Then at 4 SANTA 🧑‍🎄 will be visiting us bringing presents 🎁.

For those attending the art group please bring old clothes as we will be doing hand and foot painting, making calendars for next year and pottery painting for the older ones 🎨❤️🎄🧑‍🎄🤶🎁.

Both events open to all.
