E-Numbers

So I’ve had quite a lot of people come up with certain E-numbers recently during tests.
E-102 Tartrazine has been a big one.

E-102 Tartrazine is a synthetic lemon-yellow dye commonly used in a variety of foods and drinks including:

🥤*Beverages*
Soft drinks, energy drinks and powdered drink mixes.

🍭🍬*Confectionary*
Sweets, gums and jellies.

🍰🧁*Baked goods*
Cakes, cookies and pastries.

🍿*Snacks*
Crisps and popcorn.

🍦*Dairy products*
Certain flavoured yogurt and ice creams.

🥫*Processed foods*
Instant soups.sauces and salad dressings.

Potential effects on the body:

*Allergic reactions*
Some individuals may experience hives, itching and other allergic reactions.

*Asthma*
Tartrazine can exacerbate symptoms in some people with asthma.

*Hyperactivity*
There are concerns that E-102 may contribute to hyperactivity and attention disorders in children.

🧻*Gastrointestinal issues*
Possible IBS and other digestive issues.

Even though E-numbers are deemed safe in regulated amounts, people who are sensitive or allergic should avoid products containing these.
