There are friendships that feel like they arrive with a quiet kind of inevitability.

The ones that meet you in the in-between spaces. Where laughter spills easily, and tears are never too far behind. Where you don’t have to perform or polish the edges of who you are.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the people who walk beside us through change. The ones who sit with you in uncertainty, who witness your becoming without trying to shape it. The ones who hold your fears with as much care as your dreams.

The friendships that are built not just on lightness, but on truth. On honesty. On choosing to stay open, even when it feels vulnerable. And especially those who remind you to live playfully and joyfully 🪇🥰.

I feel incredibly grateful for the souls in my life who have met me in those deeper places. Who have laughed with me until something softened, who have held space when words weren’t enough, and who continue to grow alongside me.

There is something sacred about creating together, dreaming together, and allowing those connections to evolve naturally, without force.

Today feels like a moment to honour that. And to honour the wonderful woman that is and her journey into this world 💃 HAPPY BIRTHDAY 💫

And to all the beautiful people in my life, the grounded, the wild, the questioning, the curious, the open hearted. Thank you for walking this path with me.

Friendship is a chosen family and is a kind of magic ✨ 🥰

There are some souls you connect with that feel like home 🥰

I have been umming and ahhing about whether to post such personal photos… but in truth, this is me behind the curtain…

I let my hair down.
I dance.
I drink and stay up past my bedtime.
I celebrate life!

All in balance with what feeds my heart and soul… and this is soul food 🥂💃🪩👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩!

Yoga Asana (postures) is a beautiful practice, however, it lacks pull movements.

Over the past 14 weeks I’ve been in pain, not able to get onto my mat and move. I’ve been rehabbing and yesterday was a big moment, getting back in the gym and adding weight to my recovery routine… today, no inflammation, no pain! 💃 so pleased!

If you practice yoga, or push based practices, here’s your reminder to add a day or two of pull movement too to keep your shoulders stable and healthy.

Did you know I run a community yoga class every Wednesday at 6.15pm? Head to my bio to book on, or send me a message if you’d like to join, but can’t afford the outgoing. You’re welcome to join us free of charge. It’s a space to come and be for an hour. To move, to breathe to rest with community.

Head to my bio for more information and to book.

Spring reminds us that nothing remains buried forever.

Seeds are stirring now beneath the soil.
Sap is beginning to rise through the trees.

And somewhere within each of us, something is also beginning to rise.

The moment when life awakens and begins to move again.

She is the green shoot pushing through cold soil.
The pulse of blood returning.
The instinct that says: life is ready to begin.

She is curiosity.
She is possibility.
She is the fertile ground where new life, new ideas, and new ways of being take root.

Every descent carries the possibility of return.

Every underworld journey carries a seed of renewal.

And every woman carries within her the power to become something new.

She is the fertile spark of creation.
The life force that stirs after the long winter.

She is the courage to begin again.

I am grateful for my Sisters and the opportunity to live with joy, with love, with hope and awe.

Beyond a Day: Remembering the Power of Women ❤️‍🔥

International Women’s Day often focuses on celebrating women’s achievements in politics, science, culture, and community. It highlights ongoing inequalities such as pay gaps, leadership representation, and safety, while supporting activism for gender equity.

These are important milestones. Yet they often measure women’s success through systems historically built around traditionally masculine markers of power: productivity, hierarchy, competition, and public leadership.

There is nothing wrong with women claiming space in those arenas. But it raises a deeper question. Is equality only about entering structures that were never designed with the female body, rhythms, or ways of knowing in mind?

Often, the narrative celebrates the fight and resilience it takes to be a woman, even though many believe we have already reached the destination.

But the story is more complex.

In many cultures across the world, the feminine has long been revered as divine. In India, powerful goddesses such as Durga, Kali, and Lakshmi embody strength, destruction, fertility, protection, and abundance. The feminine is not weak in these traditions. It is cosmic.

And yet, the reverence of feminine divinity has often coexisted with social systems that restrict women’s autonomy. Practices such as dowry, despite being outlawed through legislation like the Dowry Prohibition Act, still persist in some places. Across different regions of the world, women may still be pressured to marry, expected to serve husbands, or shamed, shunned or outcast for stepping outside prescribed roles.

Birth educator and researcher .rachel.reed explores this tension in her book Reclaiming Childbirth as a Rite of Passage (thank you for sharing this 🙏), examining how childbirth, once understood as a powerful life transition, has increasingly been medicalised and controlled within modern systems.

It reveals how deeply women’s bodies, particularly their reproductive power, have been shaped by cultural narratives and institutional authority.

There are seasons when we sink inward, not as a failure but as a return. A return to the quieter rooms of the heart. A return to the places that still ask for our attention.

With courage we pause and feel.

There may be pain or numbness or frustration… but then there is the rise. The slow and steady reclaiming of breath. The gentle gathering of ourselves after meeting what once felt overwhelming.

Defending our peace is not always fierce. Sometimes it looks like staying present. Sometimes it looks like choosing clarity instead of chaos. Sometimes it looks like offering tenderness to the parts that once hid.

When we sink inward with awareness, when we pause to feel, to be, we then rise with compassion, we create an inner landscape where strength and softness can live side by side.

I feel so blessed that I have gifted myself this time and space to sink inward. To pause. To feel. To rise, more accepting of myself, more connected to myself and this crazy ride that is life 🕊️🙏.

🏵️HAPPY PLACE🏵️

How beautiful it’s been learning again in such an intense and dedicated way. I feel blessed to have Space to reflect… to breathe… to be.

provided a poignant anchor-point of contemplation for my first week of training… “ what is happiness to me?” … From a yogic point of view, happiness is not a destination or a finish line. It is not a badge of success or a measure of whether life is going well. Happiness is a passing state of mind, an emotion that moves like sunlight drifting across a hillside. It arrives. It warms. It fades. Its gentle impermanence is part of its beauty.

When we try to grasp it, it slips away. When we chase it, it feels further from reach. Yoga and its teachings reminds us that happiness was never meant to be held in a tight fist. It is a visitor, not a possession. (and that can be said for all other emotions too, including the ones we don’t enjoy.)

What matters is the spaciousness within us that notices those moments of lightness and joy when they appear. The soft lift in your chest, the widening breath, the sense of brightness that moves through your body. These moments are gifts, not goals.

The deeper practice is not to cling to happiness, but to cultivate the awareness that allows you to witness it, savour it, and let it pass without losing yourself in the longing for more.

In that awareness, a quieter steadiness grows. It is less dramatic than happiness and far more grounding. A sense of presence. A sense of being here, in this breath, in your body, in this unfolding moment.

From that place, happiness arrives in its own time and in its own way, like a bird choosing to land on an open palm. No grasping. No measurement. Only experience.

🥰🕊️🙏

P.s… last photo is me happy, but very tired, at the edge of my energetic limit… first photo, is me happy too, but bright eyes, bright heart and ready to go! …I’m always so amazed at how our faces, eyes, bodies tell such a story of where we are at. And how, with a little rest, love and care, we can show up brighter and more alive than ever! 🥰

S L O W T I M E 🐌

We live world where a “successful life” is measured by how much we perform and progress… but what happens when we slow down to a stop? Perhaps something in us will stir awake… a part of us that is only awakened when we pause to breathe, to rest… to spend time around the fire, without screens, or to-do lists… communing with nature and her healing gifs. 🧚

Here’s your sign to slow down, to rest, to stop scrolling… take a breath, be with your body… listen to your heart 💚
