Month’s Mind Acknowledgement for the late Bridie McDonald.

We the family, would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to those who supported us following the passing of our much-loved mum, Bridie.

To our friends, family, and neighbours- thank you for your kindness and your help. Your messages, visits, mass cards, and presence meant so much.

A special thank you to the staff of Rathfriland Manor Nursing home for the gentle, respectful, and loving care you gave Mum. It gave us great peace of mind knowing she was in such good hands.

Thank you to Peter Doran Funeral Directors for your professionalism, care and guidance in arranging everything so beautifully and smoothly.

Our thanks also to Father Charlie Byrne for the lovely and thoughtful funeral mass and to singer Bernice and organist Eileen.

We are also very grateful to Loft 56 for the beautiful meal and welcoming space that allowed us to gather with family and friends to share stories and remember Mum with love and laughter.

We feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by such a generous and thoughtful community.

Month’s Mind Acknowledgement for the late Geraldine McDonald.

Davy, Anna, Conor, and the extended family circle of the late Geraldine RIP wish to express our deepest and most sincere thanks to everyone who supported us and shared in our sorrow following the heartbreaking loss of our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and niece.

We are truly grateful to our family, friends, and neighbours who surrounded us with kindness - those who visited our home, attended the funeral, sent Mass cards, messages and flowers, and offered comfort in countless thoughtful ways.

A heartfelt thank you to Fr. Jim Crudden PP for celebrating Geraldine’s Requiem Mass and for his comforting words and prayers, which brought us great solace.

We would also like to thank Finbarr Keaveney for the beautiful music and singing, which added so much to the Mass and reflected Geraldine’s spirit so well.

Our sincere thanks to Peter Doran Funeral Directors for their professionalism, care, and support throughout the funeral arrangements. Your guidance was deeply appreciated at such a difficult time.

We are especially thankful to the medical teams at the Cancer Centre in Belfast and Downe Hospital, the NI Hospice and Marie Curie staff, and the dedicated team of community carers and district nurses. Your compassion, care, and dedication to Geraldine and our family will never be forgotten.

Geraldine’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 26th July at 6pm in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Newcastle.

Month’s Mind Acknowledgement for the late Michael Devlin.

We, the family of the late Michael Devlin wish to express our sincere thanks to all who sympathised with us in our recent bereavement.

We want to sincerely thank all our friends and neighbours who supported us, attended the wake, the funeral, sent Mass cards, sympathy messages and cards, telephoned, brought food and helped in so many ways.

A special word of thanks to Fr Conor McConville PP. for his pastoral care and for celebrating the Requiem Mass.

Thanks also to Annaclone Choir for the beautiful music and singing which added so much to the mass.

We are deeply grateful to the staff of Craigavon Area Hospital and Ann’s Care Home, Seapatrick for the great care and kindness they showed daddy.

The Rooney family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all who offered condolences and support following the sad passing of Martin Rooney.
Your kind words, messages, and presence have brought great comfort to us during this difficult time.

We are especially grateful to our extended family, friends, and neighbours for their unwavering support throughout the wake, funeral, and in the days that followed. Your kindness, help, and generosity meant more than words can say.

A sincere thank you to Peter Doran Funeral Directors for their professional, compassionate, and respectful handling of the arrangements — your guidance and support were deeply appreciated by the entire family.

A special thanks to Father Charlie Byrne for the beautiful and meaningful Funeral Mass, which brought great comfort to us and honoured Martin’s life so fittingly.

Nigel, Sean, Ryan, Anna, Eoin and family circle of the late Angela RIP wish to
express our sincere gratitude to everyone who sympathised and supported us in
our recent sad bereavement.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who called at our home, sent Mass and Sympathy cards, posted online tributes, telephoned, brought gifts and attended the funeral.
A special thanks to our kind relatives and friends who helped at the wake.

We wish to thank Fresh Food Centre and Golf Links House for kindly donating refreshments during the wake.

Our heartfelt thanks to Angela’s cousin Father Charles Byrne PP, for his spiritual support, visits and officiating at Angela’s Requiem Mass and to Canon Denis McKinlay PP for his kind words.

Month’s Mind Acknowledgement for the late Peter Farnon.

We, the family of the late Peter Farnon wish to express our sincere thanks to all who sympathised with us in our recent bereavement.

We want to convey our heartfelt gratitude to all our family, friends and neighbours who supported us, attended the wake, the funeral, sent Mass cards, sympathy messages and cards, telephoned, brought food and helped in so many ways. Also for the many donations to Life and Time, thank you.

A special word of thanks to Fr Charles Byrne for his pastoral visits and support which he gave Daddy. Also to Fr Brian Fitzpatrick and Fr Brian Brown who concelebrated the Requiem mass, and for their comforting words and prayers.

It is with deep regret that we inform you of the sad passing of Geraldine McDonald.

McDonald (nee O’Hare) Newcastle. Geraldine died peacefully at home 25th June 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of Davy and devoted mother of Anna and the late Alan RIP, mother-in-law of Conor, daughter of Charlie and the late Lily RIP, and much loved sister of Mary (Nowak), Anne (Guy) and Anthony.

Geraldine’s remains will repose at her home; 11 Ardaluin Court, Newcastle (BT33 0RT) from 6pm - 9pm today (Wednesday) and 1pm -8pm tomorrow (Thursday). Removal on Friday at 9.30am for 10am Requiem mass in The Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, Newcastle. Burial afterwards in St. Patrick’s cemetery, Bryansford.

It is with deep regret that we inform you of the sad passing of Bridie McDonald.

McDonald (nee Trainor) Barnmeen and formerly of Ballyvarley. Bridie died peacefully surrounded by her loving family, 24th June 2025 in Daisy Hill Hospital.

Beloved wife of the late Bernard (Barney) and loving mother of Brian, Kieran, Marian, Colin, Geraldine, Amanda, Martina and the late infant Mary. Grandmother of the late Rachael and Órán, mother in-law to the late Paddy McConville and sister of the late Patsy Trainor.

Bridie’s remains will be reposing at her son Colin’s residence; 14 Greenhill Road from 7pm-10pm this Tuesday evening and 12noon-9pm tomorrow (Wednesday).
Removal on Thursday for 2pm Requiem Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Drumgath. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lisnagade.
