Lobular breast cancer is the second most common type of breast cancer.
22 ladies are diagnosed with the disease every day in the UK.
Lobular breast cancer grows in a spiders web-like structure, a not necessarily a lump causing difficulties with detection on mammography or ultrasound.
A specific treatment which involves research into the basic biology of the disease, to better understand it and to create treatments tailored to the specific structure of lobular, has not been done⦠yet.
We would like to change this.
13,706 people have been diagnosed with lobular breast cancer since Wes Streeting became Health Secretary and we are still waiting for this Government to fund urgent research into the disease. The team of experts are ready - they just need the funding allocated.
