AI is changing how we detect skin cancer — helping identify suspicious lesions faster and more accurately than ever before.

From NHS-approved tools to emerging innovations, technology is supporting earlier diagnosis and improving access to care.

But no AI can help if a mole is never checked.

And while we fully recognise how powerful these advances are, when we surveyed our patients, the clear majority said they would still prefer to be seen by a real doctor at our clinic — valuing clinical experience, reassurance and human judgement alongside technology.

The type of stitches we use will always depend on the procedure you’ve had and the area being treated. We work with a wide variety of sutures and, where suitable, we use dissolving stitches for your comfort and convenience.

Skin cancer is the most common cancer worldwide — but when caught early, it’s highly treatable.

Knowing the difference between BCC, SCC and melanoma could genuinely save your life. A changing mole, a sore that won’t heal, or a new unusual spot is always worth checking.

If you’re unsure, don’t wait. Book a professional skin check — especially if you have a history of sun exposure or sunburn.
