AUTISM ASSESSMENT CLINIC OPENING SEPTEMBER 2025❗️

We are excited to announce the launch of our Autism Assessment Service, designed to provide you with a gold standard level of assessment, diagnosis, and support for autistic individuals and their families.

Our neuroaffirmative service is dedicated to understanding and respecting each individual’s needs and experiences while offering a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to assessment and support.

We adhere to the latest Health Trust and NICE guidelines to ensure that our assessment process is thorough, evidence-based, and reliable. Our team comprises of highly experienced professionals who utilise validated assessments including the ADOS 2.

Our assessments are conducted by a team of specialists, including occupational therapists and speech and language therapists. This collaborative approach allows us to gather comprehensive insights and provide holistic support, addressing all aspects of an individual’s needs.

We understand that no two individuals are alike. Our assessment process includes detailed interviews, observations, and standardised testing, followed by personalised bespoke recommendations and support strategies that empower individuals and their families.

Following assessment and diagnosis, we can offer 1:1 therapy sessions in the individual’s home environment. We can liaise with their school to advise on support strategies to use in the classroom.

Today is

Your is how you think and feel about things in your mind. Individuals can have good or poor mental health in the same way they can have good or poor physical health.

Did you know:

➡️ Northern Ireland has a higher number of individuals with poor mental health when compared to other parts of the UK however less money is spent on mental health services in Northern Ireland when compared to the rest of the UK and Ireland.

➡️ The legacy of the troubles contributes to the higher rate of mental health difficulties in Northern Ireland.

➡️ The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic is affecting individuals' mental health.

In June 2021, the Northern Ireland Mental Health Strategy was launched. It has three 'big ideas' for change.

1. Help all people to have good mental health.

2. Give the right help at the right time.

3. New ways of working.

Everyone needs to work hard together to make this plan work and to reduce the stigma around poor mental health.
