Acknowledgement and Month’s Mind Notice for the late Pearce Gray - R.I.P.
We, the family of the late Pearce Gray, would like to sincerely thank everyone who supported and cared for him and us during his illness and in the days following his passing.
We are forever grateful to the wonderful staff in Evora Hospice for the kindness, dignity, and compassion shown to Pearce throughout his illness, and to the staff of the Cancer Centre, Belfast City Hospital, for the care and support given during his treatment.
Our heartfelt thanks also go to the palliative care nurses, Tana and Michelle, to Judith, Sarah and the many district nurses, as well as the Marie Curie sitters, whose guidance, dedication and gentle care allowed Pearce to be at home surrounded by his family.
We would like to thank McKeever’s Pharmacy, Monaghan Street, and the doctors and staff of Cornmarket Surgery for their ongoing care and support.
Special thanks to Fr. Adrian Farelly for celebrating Pearce’s funeral mass, to Seamus Brady for his beautiful singing, and to Jonathan Reynolds the organist.
To the staff and students of St. Joseph’s Convent Primary School for the guard of honour at the chapel.
Sincere thanks to Fr. Patrick and Sr. Fiona for their spiritual support and guidance to Pearce and us throughout his illness.
To the Milestone, Rathfriland, especially Cathal Grant, for providing the food for after the funeral, and to Bosco GAC for the use of their facilities.
Our deepest thanks go to McGennity’s Funeral Directors for their compassion, care, and professionalism, in guiding us with such sensitivity throughout the wake and funeral.
To our family, friends, and neighbours, thank you for attending the wake, bringing food, sending cards and messages, and for the generous donations made to Evora Hospice. Your kindness, presence, and support carried us through a very difficult time and will never be forgotten.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually; please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude.
Pearce’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 25th January at 12.30pm in St. Catherine’s Dominican Chapel.
