Start your new year off the right way. We can accommodate all levels of fitness from beginners to gym bunnies, from small classes to One on one PT's I'm sure we can find something that fits your needs and schedule. I offer personal training sessions that suits anyone and everyone as I base each session around the client and dependent on their own personal goals, as there isn't a one size fits all approach.

Note:Limited spaces are available for classes and PT slots. To ensure your booking all appointments are to be paid 24hrs before your appointment. Lisa x

✨💪🏼D E C E M B E R G A I N S..... O R J A N U A R Y B L U E S? ✨💪🏼

If 2020 taught us anything it’s that taking a moment to enjoy time with our families and loved ones whether virtually or in person is the most important thing we can do.

This year, I made sure to take some time out from the gym and the diet to just enjoy the simple pleasures in life. But I also know that getting back on that horse is equally important for my mental well-being. Too often I’ve fallen off the wagon and not been able to get back on track for months. That is why after a few lovely days off, I am encouraging you all to join me in getting back at it. It would be easy to wait till January and have a few more days of gluttony for sure but our bodies and minds will be much more grateful to us if we can get back at it for a couple of days and start 2021 as we mean to go on.... strong and beautiful!

Urgent notice: my test results have come back positive.. 😢 Although I have very few symptoms (just feeling abit meh) I will be doing the socially responsible thing and self-isolating. I would urge anyone who has been in contact with myself who is showing any sypmtons, mine personally was I felt fatigued which I had put down to me over working. To get tested, I feel terrible about the situation and will take every step as outlined in the governments plan. Unfortunately it looks like we will be closing our doors for now, although I will update everyone as and when I know more.
I understand that clients will still feel uneasy about training and I completely understand and appreciate thier concerns. This is the new normal and we are all trying our best to navigate a path through these uncertain times I am trying to balance things the best way I know how and appreciate all your support in this time, I appreciate how understanding everyone has been. Its worth noting neither Dean or Jax are showing no symptoms but as a precaution they will now limit their movements and also get tested. To all my lovely clients I’m very sorry about this, and I will be here 24/7 for yous till I get back on my feet and back in to see yous all. I can give yous all home workouts, and am only a text away ❤️ Lisa x

Due to unfortunate circumstances LM studio will be closed this Saturday and Sunday. A client has reached out to me with a positive test result for covid-19. Although the client has only just received the results and wasn't in the gym since early this week. I still would like to take all necessary precautions to protect all of my clients I have taken a test myself today as I felt it was better to be safe then sorry especially for the health of some of my more immune vulnerable clients.. I will update you as and when I can please rest assured that all necessary precautions will be made and all equipment will be cleaned thoughly, I would like to thank the client for thier honesty as I would rather be safe then sorry. I hope this is an overreaction on my behalf and will be back next week but I love my wee business and my clients too much to take any unnecessary risks.. Lisa x ❤️

✨💃🏼O p e r a t i o n T r a n s f o r m a t i o n ?💃🏼✨

Everywhere you look on social media, there are quick fixes advertised. From magical pills to new fangled gimmick diets, 6 week transformation promises to fat burning 5 minute workouts. As we head toward Christmas, these operation transformation pitches really up the ante, promising to change your life in a couple of weeks and to heck with the realities of what our bodies are actually capable of.

The fact of the matter is that as the saying goes, Rome wasn’t built in a day. So too it follows that you aren’t going to get that perfect body you’ve always wanted by skipping carbs for a couple of weeks or by taking a special fat burning pill or even by killing yourself in the gym for a couple of weeks only to burn out and hate it soon after.

I will not be promising any quick transformations before Christmas because as I’ve travelled my own fitness journey, I’ve learned that patience and consistency are the bookmarks of success. These ‘false hope’ transformations can be toxic and often do more harm than good in the long run because they are impossible to keep up and often leave you feeling like a failure when you cannot maintain them. They can push people further from trying again because of how extreme they can be and often set you back further than when you initially started.

I won’t suck you in with false hopes about dropping an obscene amount of weight or becoming more shredded than grated cheese in 6 weeks but I WILL HELP you set goals with realistic timelines that we will work together to achieve. I want to build long and ultimately successful relationships with my clients and I am not out to make a quick buck on the back of falsehoods so if that sounds like something you can live with, get in touch and let’s get to work! 💪🏼

LM Studio is pleased to announce we will be offering a four week program of full body Kettlebell classes. There will be two classes per week during which participants will target key muscle groups while learning techniques they can implement into their own workouts as well as incorporating cardio and core work into the sessions.

Has anyone ever said to you “go for a walk to clear your head”? Have you ever wondered why? Exercise and clean eating are more than just tools for weight loss and toning, coupled together they are powerful medication capable of alleviating and reducing symptoms of many mental health issues including anxiety, depression and PTSD to name just a few.

Our brains are funny old things. Have you ever had to fight with your mind to go to the gym or to cook that healthy meal and all the while your inner voice is saying ‘nah girl, stay here on the couch where it’s cozy’? If you manage to win the battle and make it to the gym though, you feel accomplished and proud and your mind is shouting ‘Yasss Queen, you go girl!’ Our brain is a paradox. It wants you to do the things that are good for it. The things that make you feel good inside and out but it always pushes us towards the shortcuts, the easy routes. But when we challenge ourselves and listen to the part of our mind that knows that we will feel better for taking the harder path, man does it feel good.

Mental health affects everyone. It’s AS IMPORTANT as physical health and we can take care of it every single day by getting our food right, by exercising and pushing ourselves to get to the gym and by practicing constant self care. Study after study is proving the benefits of regular exercise and clean eating for alleviating symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Physical activity and clean eating aren’t a cure for anything but they can be a very useful tool when taking care of our mental health and especially in this new normal “Covid” reality we live in now, taking care of our mental health is even more important than ever before!

✨🔥R E A L T A L K🔥✨

Being a personal trainer requires me to wear a lot of hats. On any given day, I can be a therapist, a nutritionist, a friend, a mother, an enemy... most of the time I love it and I enjoy helping my clients through their day.

With that said, the thing that has to be remembered is that I am not actually qualified to be all of those things. I will offer you advise based on my personal experiences but I am not a trained therapist or a qualified nutritionist and as I always advise, what works for me may not work for you.

My training philosophy is based on my own experiences of what has worked for me. My programs are centered around strength and conditioning training and I do not pretend to offer immediate results but instead want to help you reach your goals by making you strong 💪🏼. If you were expecting to have a trainer that made you run laps on a treadmill for 60 minutes, I’m afraid that’s just not me. I do believe some cardio is important which is why I emphasize that you put in the work when not with me too but I’d much rather spend our time together building your strength.

As far as nutrition is concerned, there are no quick fixes. Fad diets are exactly what it says on the tin. Quick results by starving yourself followed by the lbs piling right back on. Most of the work starts in your shopping trolley and your kitchen and this is where you will make the biggest impact by making smart choices and avoiding processed, high calorie foods. However no matter how good you are each week, if you go out every weekend and consume thousands of calories in alcohol and fatty fried foods, progress will be slow.

If strength training isn’t for you, then find something that is. The relationship I have with my clients has to be based in an enjoyment of the kind of training I offer in order for us to have a successful partnership. I want every one of my clients to achieve their goals but it is near on impossible to achieve if we aren’t on the same page.
