🗣Cullyhanna supports The Baton of Hope
Rural Health Partnership, in partnership with St. Patrick’s GFC and St. Patrick’s Primary School, Cullyhanna, is calling on all members of the community to come out on Wednesday 3rd September and support the Baton of Hope su***de awareness initiative.
The Baton of Hope journey across the area is a special day of connection and remembrance of those we have lost to su***de, to support those who are struggling and to open up conversations around mental health and su***de prevention.
On its journey through South Armagh, the Baton of Hope will start at St Joseph’s HS, Crossmaglen at 8.30am and will arrive in Cullyhanna approximately between 9.45am and 10.15am on Wednesday 3rd September.
Starting off from St Patrick’s GFC premises, representatives of the club, primary school, local businesses and residents will line the route as the Baton Bearers – who represent families bereaved by su***de - pass through the village and onwards to Newtownhamilton and Keady.
We are encouraging all members of our local community to come out, show your support and be a part of this important initiative.
The Baton of Hope is a day to remember those we have lost and support those affected by su***de. Everyone is encouraged to take part, stand together and offer hope.
The day will culminate in a Community Solidarity Walk in Newry, commencing at 6pm on Monaghan Street, to which everyone is welcome to attend.
