I worked in many areas of Social Care in college and in employment. I then changed to study Horticulture with full City & Guilds qualifications and management qualifications. I worked for Torbay council for seven years.
I then worked in Mental Health for four years. At the start of this employment I undertook training in Aromatherapy to use with the clientele. I absolutely loved Aromatherapy and went on to gain full Diploma in it and followed it with Indian Head Massage and Reflexology, Diplomas. In 1998 I went self employed and added Body massage, Swedish Body Massage, Advanced body massage, and advanced Aromatherapy Diplomas. I have worked with all client groups with these treatments. I was able to attend day college and gained multiple Diplomas in Sports Injury, Sports Massage and Healthcare. I added my teaching Adult &30 and PGCE and other certificates in therapies. This training culminated in A foundation degree in GP referral and exercise science and full BSC Hons in Sports Therapy.
I worked with a team of Chiropractors for seven years and thank them for all the extra education and support they gave me. I then ran my own clinic for five years and looked after other practitioners of various disciplines that worked from my clinic. In 2015 I gave up the clinic to reduce my hours and stop looking after other practitioners. And in 2017 I moved into Treetops. I have two rooms dedicated to my business and a downstairs toilet. I had a ramp for disabled customers made. The house has a lovely warm feel to it with wooden floors and a driveway that can take seven parked cars.
I have volunteered my therapy skills at many sporting and Holistic charity events from local to national and international level. I was delighted to provide Sports massage at 2012 Olympics and Paralympics and 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
