A recent glass balustrade we completed for a customer at their beautiful farm. We used 11.5mm toughened laminated glass on this particular job as our client required a safer option to protect his grandchildren from falling through any broken glass. This type of glass will remain in place if broken as the side that is broken will shatter but remain in place as it is held in situ by the laminated layer and panel on the opposite side, hence offering a safer alternative to purely toughened glass, which will shatter and drop out if broken.
