As November begins, we prepare to not only remember, but also to act. It is our actions that pay the greatest tribute to those who have, and continue to serve. A little sneak if the window coming together at the The Good Karma Store. The dress created with young people included Belgium lace to represent Flanders’s, a French lace peplum and black ribbon trim to symbolise our sorrow for those lost. The window will contain a display of each of the armed forces and you’ll find photographs and stories of serving men and women known to, or related to, our Wellbeing in Action team. We hope you love the finished scene and it gives you something in Union Street to stop to pause and reflect as you enjoy your hard won liberty and peace. 🌺🌺🎖️

As Halloween draws near, we have a rail of costumes all for under £5 to help keep the fun in the experience rather than a huge money pressure. And, of course, if you are struggling to make ends meet and Halloween is just a day to brush aside and hope you can actually feed your kids, then just discretely let us know and a costume is free to you - and we can help with the other priority stuff too. Autumn is the busiest, most exhausting but also exciting part of our year. This year has been a tough one, but we’re determined to reverse the negative to lead out on a high! Here’s a helpful resume of some of the events for your diary:

A. Sat 19th Oct - 8pm to late - Pink Party at Golden Lion, Newton Abbot (no ticket needed) Wear pink, rock up, party and support our local work around breast cancer. 🎀🎟️

B. Tue 22nd Oct - Lunch Mumma Club conference. Lavender House 9.30-2pm - all mums welcome. Activities, workshops, lunch, pamper pack - all Free. www.peoplesfundraising.com/event/lunchmumma. 🤰🏼👩‍👦👩‍👧‍👧👩‍👩‍👧‍👧👨‍👩‍👧‍👧

C. Sat 9th Nov - Devon Women in Business Awards - thank you to all involved in nominating Emma and I to represent the women at WiA, and to the men who make that possible. We hope we do you proud. 🙏🏻

D. Sat 14th Dec - ABBA Glitterball at Torquay Utd. Please share and encourage anyone to book for this amazing tribute concert and party to raise funds for our wield with people facing health crisis. Any raffle prizes also appreciated. Book: www.peoplesfundraising.com/event/ABBA

E. Dec various - We’re making the annual plea for our legendary grotto volunteers. Please contact if you have any time to help build, decorate, be a character or elf, help on the door or assist with marketing and sharing. Every purchased ticket supports a child in crisis to attend for free 🎄🎅
