Our whirlpool bath bathroom brings a touch of luxury and fun—residents can relax in the bubbles, enjoy a glass of wine, and even choose the colour of the room to suit their mood 🌈🍷

This coming month, we’ve got a full calendar of activities lined up for our residents to enjoy—especially with the brighter days giving us the perfect excuse to get outdoors and make the most of the sunshine.

Care at Somerforde is personalised for each resident through a detailed care plan, outlining their daily needs, including medication, meals, routines, and levels of support. These plans are created with the resident wherever possible, or with input from family members, ensuring dignity and individual preferences are respected.

Care plans are regularly reviewed and updated as needs change, ensuring consistent and appropriate support at all times. Families are also given access to the care planning system, providing transparency and reassurance by keeping them informed about their loved one’s daily care and wellbeing.

Food is central to life here at Somerforde. With two chefs cooking everything fresh on site, residents enjoy real choice. Lasagna from the menu? Poached eggs on request? The kitchen is always open.

Families are warmly invited to join meals and celebrations. Seasonal events bring everyone together, barbecues in the summer, the festive chaos of Christmas with trees, music, and staff in elf costumes.

Daily life is built around residents' wishes. Activities range from knitting groups to car washing in the garden, all chosen by residents themselves. Even bath time is different here our whirlpool bath bath, coloured lighting, and a glass of wine turn routine into enjoyment.
