We visited the Netherlands on an Our Echo world tour, a beautiful country and very scenic views but we mostly enjoyed the fields of Tulips seen, so we decided to get crafty using recycled materials to make our own tulip vase, lots of painting sticking and chatting.

One of our lovely ladies felt a little low this morning, instead of the busy lounge we settled in the hall for a chat and comfort with a cuppa.
We started conversations with lots of compliments and having a few laughs, which perked everyone up- making friendships and having good company/conversations are so important to boost our well being, it can bring perspective and clarity, reduce stress levels, combats loneliness and helps bonds form, increasing trust and security around our fellow residents.

If you are new to the care industry or looking for a positive change, we are recruiting for caring and reliable Day and Night Care Assistants
27.5-36 hours per week
£13.20-14.10 per hour plus great employee benefits
We are also looking for a Bank Housekeeper, various hours available, £12.82 per hour

On Wednesday we took our annual trip to St Pauls Church for our holy communion.
We took the short bus journey, which was full of excitement to meet our pastor Kim.
The service started and singing hymns, readings and prayers commenced.
We then spent time socialising and connecting with the wider community, enjoying a delicious selection of homemade soups and sweet crumbles.
A huge thank you to St Pauls for a lovely day, our residents really enjoyed every moment!

Today at Lakeview, there was a real sense of togetherness as residents and staff came together to celebrate a very special person 💙
We want to wish our wonderful Manager, Carole, the very best of luck as she begins an exciting new chapter at our sister home, Kenwyn. While we’ll certainly miss seeing her at Lakeview every day, we are so proud that she’ll be sharing her expertise, wisdom, and kindness with another team within South West Care Homes.
Carole, thank you for everything you’ve done – your leadership, compassion, and dedication have made a lasting impact on us all. This isn’t goodbye, just a new beginning, and we know you’ll be amazing in your new role 🌟
