Day Carer wanted for maternity cover (6 months) – Lake View, Newton Abbot
Are you a professional carer or looking for a new opportunity in care?
We are recruiting for a trustworthy day carer to join our team at Lake View who can provide quality care to our lovely residents.
Expected Hours: 33 per week
Salary: £12.60
This is to cover a maternity so temporary contract

Week 3 has seen different staff and residents joining in our 100 miles challenge.
Another 10 miles, covered around St Ives Bay, Hayle and Gwithian by Ben,
Rica's day off saw her walk around Hackney Marshes totalling another 6miles miles in total.
Anju walked the Torquay to Paignton coastal path at the weekend pulling in 3miles.
Gemma, along with resident's John and Christine walked across Wolborough to Ogwell Church, we made some great finds along the route and saw some beautiful views too totalling 2.8Miles
Our maintenance man Gary put in some big steps around the lawn whilst mowing, we asked Gary to do a few extra laps to bring us up an added 1 mile.

Adding the previous 52 miles to those walked this week have over 74miles!!

Our team had a Great week for walks with all the lovely sunshine we had. ☀️
Sonia walked Avon Dam near Dartmoor

Jemma, Christal & Summer took their gorgeous pups along to Babbacombe Downs 🐾🐾🐾

We had a super busy weekend here in the house, staff, resident's and visitors alike were on their feet all day, totalling up the steps as a whopping 9miles walked collectively

Week 2 - Including the miles of the beautiful Coast that Ben and Karen raised, has gained us an amazing 39.4 Miles to our already existing 12.6 Totalling over 50Miles achieved in two weeks!! Amazing achievement...... 👏

It is Lake Views time for youngsters to visit by the look of it. We had a very tiny baby yesterday and now here is Slydrz popping in. A very adorable puppy that belongs to one of our team. The residents were so delighted to see a puppy. 🐕🐾

Last week was our first week of our 100 miles challenge.
Our banner went up and we got stepping into the week with a few laps around the grounds, 15 in total by residents Jeanette and John with Harry and Jack in wheelchairs assisted by Gemma and Anjo totalling 2053steps which is approximately 1 mile in total.
Our hairdresser Sue put on her walking boots and walked Lands end trail adding us 6.17miles whilst on her visit to Cornwall.
We ended the week on the cycle bike where our carer Frankie and resident John totalled 4.6miles together.
What a fantastic start! 😃

This July weekend (5th and 6th), I found myself on the SW Coast Path passing Ladram Bay in East Devon (first photo) and Ness Beach, Shaldon, in South Devon (second photo).
Distance covered walking past both locations, on two separate days, was (conservatively) 10 miles. - Thank you to Ben for adding to our tally 😀
