As we welcome the new year, it’s the perfect time to prioritise your health and fitness. As classes wind down for 2024, a little message of gratitude and can’t wait to continue our journey in 2025 🧘🏻‍♀️🙏.

To all my lovely clients, past and present, thank you so much for your continued support over the years, through thick and thin, rain or shine, snow and ice, we’ve done it! It has truly been a pleasure to have you in class and also in The Studio, and to see the progress your Pilates practice can make and has made 🫶. Also the team spirit and friendships that have been created. 💕🙏. I am so lucky to have you all on board and never take it for granted.

I've loved hearing how aches and pains have improved or even gone completely (or been created 😂😂) and, how everyday tasks and range of motion is so much improved.

For me the true power of Pilates is in the difference it can make to our lives outside of class and how it helps to keep us doing whatever else it is we love to do.

Wishing you and yours a very Merry Xmas and a Happy & Healthy New Year. Please keep doing whatever makes your heart sing without caring what anyone else thinks about it!

As classes swing into 2024, our focus will be a whole lot on resistance training! Pilates is a form of strength training because it incorporates resistance training through body weight and other equipment such as small weights, resistance bands, pilates balls and loop bands.

One of the most striking losses with age is muscle mass (sarcomia), which declines more after the age of 60. The stronger we are, the stronger our muscles and bones are, which will aid in accident prevention 💪. It takes work and dedication, but it is never too late to build and maintain muscle!

In loving memory of my dear friend Maja Holman 🫶💞, who sadly lost her battle with cancer on the 3rd January 2024.

I met Maja over 20 years ago, and she was one of my first regular 121 clients after moving to Devon in 2000. Her love for Pilates grew as did our friendship. Maja was a fiercely loyal, courageous and one of the bravest human beings I’ve ever met. She was a solid regular in a variety of my classes through the years, and I know you will always remember her as a beautiful mover in class.

She was dedicated and passionate about her pilates practise as well as yoga and all things mind and body 🙏, and was a force to be reckoned with 💪.

She has made the biggest impact on my mid life and I will cherish our memories always. Never to be forgotten. A true Warrior. RIP darling girl 💔💫
