Beauty, massage & holistic therapies Kintsugi is a Japanese practice which comes from Kintsukuroi, meaning "gold repair".

A person lovingly and mindfully reforms and repairs pottery to leave it more beautiful than before. This philosophy has been embraced by people from centauries where people can apply this to their physical, mental and spiritual growth and repair. Welcome

I'm Ash, I'm a level 3 beauty, massage and holistic therapist with 11 years experience. I set up Kintsugi in Oct 2024, offering mobile therapies in the Torbay and Teignbridge area. I'm also practicing at the beautiful Haven Clinic in Ashurton.

🌿 I offer treatments that cater to each individual, using high quality, gorgeous smelling products, and offer a space where people can relax, feel heard and really enjoy their treatments in a calming and cozy space.

🌿Consultations are free and are not part of treatment times

🌿The products I use are cruelty free and vegan, and the nail company I use are ORLY, leaping bunny certified and vegan as well as free from 12 🌿 - free from 12 ingredients that are often found in nail products that are harmful. More information about that can be found on their website. I use Caudalie and ESPA for facials

🍂 October is here 🍂
Time for comfy clothes, pumpkin picking, cozy days out and evenings in, watching the beautiful colour shifts in nature around us. I find this time of year quite transformative for a lot of us, we have endings, make changes, take up hobbies, reflect on where we want to be going for the end of the year.
I feel whichever time of year it is, I like to embrace the seasonal feeling and activities. Let me know what kind of things you like to do this time of year 🍁🍂

Massage doesnt always have to be painful to be effective. Gentle, skilled techniques often help your muscles relax much more easily.

Some ways massage can melt away tension:
🌿 Effleurage – smooth, flowing strokes that warm up muscles & boost circulation
🌿 Rolling techniques – gentle movements to soften tight spots
🌿 Stretching & mobilisation – helping muscles and joints let go through movement
🌿 Warming the muscles – preparing tissue to relax naturally
🌿 Trigger point therapy – focused pressure that encourages knots to release

When these techniques are done in harmony, your body feels safe and relaxed. It’s amazing how much easier tight muscles let go 🙏. Massage can be both effective and enjoyable — and while everyone has different pain thresholds and deep tissue techniques are also effective, it's about using the whole toolkit 🌿💚✨
