Welcoming Julie back for April!

Julie is a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists FHT, she qualified in 1996 at level 4 Diploma in Beauty Therapy, Sports Therapy and Electrolysis. Julie is qualified to expert skincare level and has over 25 years in the beauty industry. Since qualifying in Beauty Therapy she has worked in top spa’s in London, Somerset, Devon and on board the QE2. Julie offers Electrolysis for removal of skin tags, milia, blood spot, red veins, keratosis warts, moles and skin blemishes. Electrolysis can also be used for removal and permanent reduction of stubborn white, dark and coloured hair on a small area (like chin, top lip or ni***es). Julie also specialises in IPL, waxing, foot heath such as hard skin and corn treatments, ear piercing, microcurrent facial/peels, Indian head massage, back, neck and shoulder massage, Tibetan massage and Reflexology.

Introducing our Practitioners:
Nicola Renovich ~ Founder of The Haven
Acupuncture,Fertility and IVF support, Chinese Herbal Medicine. 🌿
Nicola began her studies with a BA in Modern Languages at Cambridge University. The study of Contemporary European Literature led her to take an interest in Eastern Philosophy. She then then trained for 5 years at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading. The training at this college is fully recognized and accredited by The British Acupuncture Council.

She completed Post Graduate Training with Meir Schneider in San Francisco expanding her understanding of the body through massage, bodywork and self-healing exercises. She then went on to complete various post graduate modules in scalp acupuncture with Dr.Zhu, specialist in Neurological disorders.. She has completed Post Graduate training and has extensive experience treating both female and male Infertility, IVF Support, Pregnancy, and Birth Preparation.

Nicola’s main inspiration has been studying and undergoing further training with Jeffrey Yuen, 88th generation Daoist Master of the Jade Purity Yellow Emperor Lao Zi School. To date she has been privileged to study in the following specialist areas with him: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Gynaecology, the use of Chinese & Western Essential Oils & Chinese Herbs, and advance training in Pulse Diagnosis.

In January 2008 she set up the Haven Health Clinic with a view to find ways in which Complementary Therapists from different traditions could complement each other by working together.

Recently Nicola has started offering ‘Acupuncture without the needles’ as an option. Using the Chinese Medicine diagnostics a treatment is offered using a combination of herbal oils, moxa, cupping, and guasha’ a technique a bit like stone massage which releases tension in the fascia to improve circulation and relieve pain.

Nicola is a fully licensed Acupuncturist and adheres to a strict code of Safe Practice and Code of Professional Conduct.
