We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome the amazing .chiro — Dr Helena Cope (D.C) — to our chiropractic family! 💫✨

Starting Monday 14th July, Helena will be available all day Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, bringing her exceptional care, energy and expertise to the clinic — and covering for Dr Freddie (D.C) while he enjoys some well-earned extended paternity leave 👶💛

Born and raised in Teignmouth, Helena’s journey has taken her from a First-Class Master’s degree in Chiropractic to working with dancers at the O2 and athletes across London, before adventuring through South America — and now she’s back in Devon to share her magic 🌍➡️🏡

Helena blends hands-on techniques like spinal adjustments and soft tissue therapy with rehab, dry needling, and a deep understanding of how the body really works. She’s especially passionate about pregnancy care, and is now expanding into paediatrics too — so she can support mums and babies throughout their journey 💫👶🤰

After an amazing chapter at 5 Brunel Buildings, we’re thrilled to share that the sale of our new home at 56 Keyberry Road is now complete!

This marks the beginning of a bold new chapter for our clinic. Over the coming months, we’ll be developing a beautiful, modern space designed to reflect everything we believe in: healing, connection, and community.

Can you do a diet without any dairy and grains and anything processed? Sounds easy right.
I’ve just completed 14 days to start with no dairy and no grains and feel amazing.

Grains forms part of an industrial diet, however our genetic expression what humans have lived off for thousands of years wouldn’t consist of any grains. Grains the seed of plants are inherently pro inflammatory because they have anti nutrients on them to stop animals eating them.

Try to eat the food sources below, filter your water, and eat organic meat or wild caught fish that doesn’t contain antibiotics and other medications given to animals that are farmed.

Whatever you put in your body try to limit your toxins to allow for a healthy system which decreases inflammation in our body.

A whole food diet that avoids dairy and grains focuses on nutrient-dense, minimally processed foods. Here's a general guide:

Foods to Include:
1. Protein Sources:
- Grass-fed beef, lamb, and pork
- Free-range chicken and turkey
- Wild-caught fish and seafood (salmon, sardines, mackerel)
- Pasture-raised eggs
- Plant-based proteins like lentils, chickpeas, and other legumes

2. Vegetables:
- Leafy greens (kale, spinach, arugula)
- Cruciferous veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts)
- Root vegetables (sweet potatoes, carrots, beets)
- Squashes (butternut, acorn, zucchini)

3. Fruits:
- Berries (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries)
- Citrus fruits (lemons, oranges, grapefruits)
- Apples, pears, peaches, plums
- Avocados for healthy fats

4. Healthy Fats:
- Olive oil, avocado oil, coconut oil
- Nuts and seeds (almonds, walnuts, chia seeds, flaxseeds)
- Coconut milk (unsweetened, non-dairy alternative)

5. **Non-Grain Carbs:**
- Root vegetables (sweet potatoes, parsnips, turnips)
- Plantains and bananas
- Quinoa, amaranth, and buckwheat (pseudograins)

6. **Herbs and Spices:**
- Fresh herbs like cilantro, parsley, basil, rosemary
- Anti-inflammatory spices like turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, and garlic

**Foods to Avoid:**
- Dairy products (milk, cheese, yogurt)
- Grains (wheat, rice, oats, barley)
- Processed foods and added sugars
- Artificial sweeteners and trans fats

This kind of diet supports overall health, reduces inflammation, and ensures a rich intake of vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats. It can be particularly beneficial for people with food sensitivities or those looking to improve digestion, energy levels, and skin health.
