Three mega-trends in women's fitness in 2025:
1- a 'snatched' waist
(because impossible vanity sells, and that word is cute)
2- mobility routines
(because it's kinda fresh and cool)
3- building muscle through weight training
(because science proves that building muscle builds your brain)
But what irks me is that:
-'snatched' ain't practical for most normal women
(it's just another silly visual to chase)
- the top experts selling mobility routine move like a robot- reps, rather than soft connection.
(real mobility comes from the intelligent design of SMART movement)
- building muscle doesn't mean women should marry dumbbells and start to look like The Rock with a ponytail
(strong is about how you feel, how you meet the challenges of life, and like, 'can you pick up your kid without throwing your back out?')
My answer is a simple daily routine that maximises every woman's functional strength and graceful mobility in 4 minutes.
Without kettlebells.
Without robotics.
Without bulky muscles.
I don't go with the crowd.
But, by following my routine, my students are quietly shining, excelling, and happily holding their own among the heavy lifters: the Stacie Sims, the Vanja Moves, and other heroines of Women's Fitness in 2025.
My waist is a little 'snatched' but I actually don't care about abs. Six-packs are not my aim.
I care about being healthy, strong, and functional.
I care about feeling great, and helping my family feel great.
I care about helping women focus on what matters: feeling great, so you can show up great for others.
This week I saw a mom write in the Postpartum Fitness FB group:
"What is 'snatched'? I keep hearing women talking about getting a 'snatched waist'. Girl, I don't care about that - I just want to pick up my kid without my back giving out!"
I say:
Good for her- She's got her priorities straight!
And:
Head on over to my course, 'Four Minutes to Fabulous', where you'll learn exactly how to get there in 4 minutes a day.
Because the goal should be to bloom.
