Good company and a chat over lunch. We're happy to support our neighbours at St. Paul's church in Devon Square, Newton Abbot, with their team's initiative 'Lunch with God'. Last week they had three kinds of soup along with crusty rolls, hot drinks and even some biscuits that we were happy to provide. But the best thing was, a warm welcome and good conversation!. If you'd like to come along, please see details below.

Zealley through the years.

Very few businesses can trace their history back to 1836. So we are rightfully very proud of our place in the wonderful communities of Newton Abbot and the surrounding area.
Originally established in 1836 as a firm of Builders and Undertakers, the Zealley name has been an integral part of life in the greater Newton Abbot area for 189 years.

Sadly many of the small 'details' of this long history are lost to the mists of time, but occasionally one of our friends in the community will share a glimpse of the Zealley history with us.

We think this is the oldest copy of a published advertisement for the Zealley company that we are aware of.
Kindly passed to us by our friends at our local paper, the Mid Devon Advertiser, on the event of their 150th anniversary in 2013.
This advert was originally printed in the 'Newton Weekly Journal' in May of 1875.
We'd love to see something even older if anyone has anything?

This week, we’re proud to support Hospice UK’s Dying Matters Awareness Week, a national campaign encouraging open and honest conversations about death, dying, and grief.
At Zealley Funeral Services, we believe that talking about these important topics helps us support one another and honour every life with compassion and care.
Let’s start the conversation - because dying matters. 💬
