During kinesiology balances I often use a Tei Shin (needless acupuncture) to assist in balancing the body.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine you may have heard of Qi which is the yin and yang which facilitates the flows of energy through the body’s meridians (energy channels throughout the body).

Meridians have multiple acupoints in them, acupoints are just like little valves which regulate the Qi flowing through the meridians.

When the body has an imbalance the Qi can become stuck and in some cases frozen - blocking the energy running through it causing further issues and imbalances within the body.

Through muscle biofeedback I can identify and correct these frozen and blocked points to enable the energy to flow smoothly again back to how it should - in turn helping the body to come back to homeostasis!

Today is World Mental Health Day.

Mental Health is viewed and treated as a taboo by so many, that people aren’t able to get the proper treatment and advice in a world where anxiety, depression, panic attacks, and so many other mental illnesses are common.

Today provides an opportunity for you to know that it is okay to live with a mental illness and talk about it, don’t let society make you think otherwise. Whatever your experience is with mental health, I encourage you to extend kindness and patience to yourself today and remember that you are not alone!

As a kinesiologist I have worked with many patients experiencing mental health issues. Take heart that there is a way through even the darkest of times - You might not be able to see it now, but your future self will look back and be so proud of you getting through it.

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

If your not - What is holding you back from loving and accepting who you are right now..?

Identify where your giving your power away and give your love and energy to the solutions.

I was talking to a client the other day who was feeling insecure and constantly comparing herself to airbrushed/photoshopped celebs on social media so she made the decision to unfollow and spend less time on social media as it wasn’t serving her. Also started working on her self love and inner confidence with having more love and compassion for herself she won’t be as insecure and therefore more happy within.

Within modalities like energetic and functional kinesiology we can change the neurological pathways in the brain to change your subconscious thought patterns - you make your beliefs, and then your beliefs turn right around and make you.

What is Kinesiology?

- Kinesiology was developed by chiropractors in the 1960’s in the United States of America and has since evolved into a complex complementary therapy of its own.

-It is currently the fastest growing natural therapy in the world.

- Kinesiology uses muscle monitoring to identify, assess and correct imbalances in the body, thus promoting physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health.

- Kinesiology offers a model of care, which considers the deep connections between the physical aspects of the body (such as bones, muscles, hormones, neurology etc.), the psychological aspects (thoughts, emotions, attitudes etc.) and the energetic structures that form our being (aura, chakras, nadis, meridians etc.).

- Muscle monitoring allows the practitioner to assess the stress levels in the physical and energetic structures and to identify the most appropriate technique to restore balance to the body. This eliminates the need for guesswork, thereby allowing the body to heal efficiently to achieve optimal health and vitality.

-The techniques used to release stress include traditional Chinese medicine with acupressure, emotional stress release, sound healing (tuning forks), flower essences, chakra balancing etc.
