โœจ๐‘ด๐’‚๐’Œ๐’† ๐‘จ ๐‘พ๐’Š๐’”๐’‰ ๐‘พ๐’†๐’…๐’๐’†๐’”๐’…๐’‚๐’šโœจ with our resident Barrie who used to play for Bishop Auckland Cricket Club as their opening batsman.

He was welcomed back to watch the current team take on Middlesbrough in a semi final 20/20 game where someof his old team mates from 1976 came to see him. He was presented with a club cap and a photograph of his original victorious team which really made his day.

A huge, huge, ๐‘ฏ๐‘ผ๐‘ฎ๐‘ฌ thank you to everyone that supported our auction which raised an outstanding ยฃ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ–๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ to be shared between our Aycliffe Residents Fund and local charity

Colleagues, residents, families and our wonderful community came together to support these wonderful causes and we cannot thank everyone enough for donating both auction items,time, commitment and of course money!

Our very first โœจ๐‘ด๐’‚๐’Œ๐’† ๐‘จ ๐‘พ๐’Š๐’”๐’‰ ๐‘พ๐’†๐’…๐’๐’†๐’”๐’…๐’‚๐’šโœจ was a magical day for Ken and Joan who met 25 years ago when they were both visiting relatives in a care home. Their 'wish' was a day trip back to Richmond where they had enjoyed their very first date.

Richmond holds many happy memories for them both and we felt it was the perfect trip for them. On the journey Ken recognised all the road signs and named significant towns... he was the perfect back seat driver telling our Home Manager to keep her distance which Joan found very funny as he used to say the same to her when she was driving!

Once in Richmond everyone enjoyed a bit of sightseeing and then lunch at the Black Lion. Ken had been a keen fisherman so they made their way to the River to finish the trip and enjoy the view where memories were made and laughs were shared. It was an amazing success and we would like to thank everyone that helped make this happen โœจ
