🌞 Happy Friday from Brafferton! 🌞

Well, what a cracking day we’ve had! The sun had its hat on, the animals were zooming about like they’d had three cups of coffee, and the champions? Pure chaos in the best way possible!

We were joined by a very special guest today… drumroll please… DOBBY! No, not the house elf (we checked his socks), but our very own four-legged whirlwind who had the champions sprinting, chasing, giggling, and throwing balls like their lives depended on it. Dobby was living his best life and so were we.

Meanwhile, Billie turned full David Attenborough and took the champions on a photography mission. Cameras at the ready, she taught them how to snap the perfect shot. Let’s just say Vogue might be calling. Some absolute masterpieces were captured around our future site. Eat your heart out, National Geographic.

Then came the moment we’d all been waiting for… THE CHIPPY DINNER. Yes, we’re not ashamed to say chips have the power to change lives. The Friday feeling officially kicked in after that first vinegar-soaked bite.

The afternoon? Oh, just a casual piano session with our brand new keys, brought to us by the legend himself Ray via our Amazon Wishlist. You’re a hero, Ray. The champions banged out some questionable melodies with immense passion, and that’s what really counts, right?

We wrapped up with games, laughter, and the sound of Dobby still sprinting in the distance.

We’ll be back on Monday for more fun, madness, and probably more chips. Until then, have a fab weekend everyone. You’ve earned it! 💚

🌟 Happy Thursday everyone! 🌟

What a cracking day we’ve had at Five Acres!

This morning we got creative with jewellery making – beads, string, and a whole lot of concentration (and knot-tying struggles 🤪). Some of us might be starting our own jewellery line at this rate!

Over in Cooking School, the team whipped up a hearty corned beef stew with tiger bread – and it was chef’s kiss delicious! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 Big shoutout to everyone who got stuck in with the peeling, chopping, and yes… even those who bravely battled the onions 🧅😭. We had tears, but also laughter – because teamwork makes the dream work, and that’s exactly what happened today!

Meanwhile, the Brafferton site has been buzzing with energy as we’ve started setting up exciting new activities around our herb garden 🌿👩‍🌾 – fresh flavours are coming to the kitchen very soon, and we can’t wait!

🌞 Happy Wednesday from all of us at Five Acres! 🌻

What a cracking day we’ve had — and we’re not just talking about Kyran’s flapjack (which was DELICIOUS, by the way 👏)!

👀 We’ve got something exciting brewing behind the scenes… a BIG REVEAL is coming soon and we cannot wait to share it with you. Watch this space — you’re going to love it! 👷‍♀️🪄

🐴 Over at the Brafferton site, Andy and the gardening crew swapped trowels for hay nets today! Horses fed ✅ Stables mucked out ✅ Rubbish tipped ✅ Absolute legends ✅

🎨 Back in arts & crafts, we got our paintbrushes out and jazzed up some rocks to add colour down at Brafferton — they’re looking rock-solid! (Pun absolutely intended. Sorry, not sorry.)

🧼 Harry was crowned Laundry King 👑 today — our chief washer made sure everything was fresh, folded, and fabulous!

👨‍🍳 In cooking school, we had options galore — creamy tuna pasta bake with salad OR a hearty cottage pie with seasonal veg. Honestly, we wanted both. Don’t judge.

🍯 And last but definitely not least — our superstar Kyran whipped up a flapjack masterpiece. Sticky, golden, perfect. Bake Off, here he comes! ⭐

🌞 A Fun-Filled Day at Five Acres! 🌿

We kicked off the morning with an energising Zumba class with Carol 💃🕺a great way to get moving and start the day on a high! After all that dancing, we cooled down with a nutritious mango smoothie 🥭🍹 lovingly prepared by our talented Cooking School team.

Mid-morning, we moved into a skills session that focused on 🤹‍♂️ coordination and teamwork 🤝 lots of laughs and some great collaborative moments!

For lunch, the Cooking School treated us to a hearty pasta Bolognese 🍝 followed by homemade flapjacks 🍯 for that much-needed energy boost.

To wind down the afternoon, we had fun with some friendly board games 🎲 and even got competitive with bowling on the Wii 🎳! There was still time to squeeze in some baking too cookies were on the menu 🍪👨‍🍳.

Meanwhile, the gardening team has been busy! They visited the field to feed the animals 🐑🐓 and check on things after Storm Floris passed through 🌬️ we’re happy to report the field held up well! 💪 They also measured out the second paddock 📏, helping us plan for better summer grazing rotation and give the animals some extra space to roam 🌾🐐.

All in all, another wonderful day of activity, learning, and fun at Five Acres! 💚

🎉 Happy Monday from all of us at Five Acres! 🎉

We hope your weekend was as fab as a freshly baked sprinkle cake because guess what? We made one!

Today has been an absolute cracker of a day! In the kitchen, we whipped up some banana bread so tasty it nearly caused a stampede. And the sprinkle cake? Let’s just say it vanished faster than you can say “seconds please!”

Over at Cooking School, our top chefs served up a classic: jacket potatoes and beans, warm, comforting, and just what we needed to fuel the fun.

Meanwhile, some of our champions took a well-earned chill-out down at Siesta, and we had a surprise visit from the legend himself, Dobby the dog! 🐶 He stole hearts, snacks, and possibly a nap on someone’s lap.

Our Gardening Dream Team got stuck in with a mission to the quarry, clearing out rubbish like eco-warriors on a mission. Capes not included, but definitely deserved.

Back at base, it was all go with Connect Four battles and tuff tray adventures, with creativity, competition, and a lot of giggles included.

What a day! Spirits are high, bellies are full, and we’re all prepped to do it all again tomorrow. Bring it on! 💪✨

🌟 Happy Friday, Five Acres Fam! 🌟
Wow, that week flew by faster than Mr T spotting a carrot 🥕💨

We’ve had a cracking day to round it all off and here’s what we’ve been up to:

One lucky group set off on a little adventure for a coffee and a chinwag at Maccies. Caffeine, chats, and plenty of laughs! Massive thanks to the lovely staff there for always making us feel right at home (even if we took ages deciding between a latte or cappuccino 😅).

It was all hands on deck at the stables today. Hay nets were stuffed, stables were spotless, and Mr T and Bailey got the royal grooming treatment. They’re looking like the cover stars of Horse & Hoof Weekly 🧽✨

Today’s culinary masterpiece: homemade chicken burgers with lettuce, sweet potato fries, coleslaw, and salad. Topped off with our own yoghurt bowls. Yoghurt has never looked so fancy. Or tasted so good. Gordon Ramsay, watch your back! 🍔🥗🍨

This afternoon we drew the raffle! 👀 Keep an eye out for the video. Your number might just be the lucky one! (Cue suspenseful drumroll…🥁)

Pool, trampolining, Lego building. The vibes were high, and so were a few of the bounce heights! 😂

All in all, a brilliant end to a busy week. Thanks to our fabulous team and attendees for making every day a joy ❤️

🌞 What a day at Five Acres! 🌞

We’ve had an action-packed day enjoying the sunshine with a variety of sports — from basketball to boccia, and even a Wii Sports Olympic Tournament! 🏀🎳🎮
Current champion on the scoreboard: Daniel! 💪

After all that activity, we treated ourselves to a little pamper session — Megan even had her nails done! 💅✨

A quick trip to Tesco got us ready for the kitchen, where the Cooking School whipped up delicious tuna wraps, chips, and salad. 👨‍🍳🥗🧑‍🍳

In the afternoon, Rurai had a go on the bike and absolutely loved it! 🚴‍♂️😊

🎉 And a big HAPPY 27th BIRTHDAY to Matthew! We celebrated in style… with cake, of course! 🎂🥳

🌟 Happy Wednesday from all of us at Five Acres! 🌟

What a brilliant day we’ve had! We started off making our own smoothies — strawberry and kiwi was the winning combo. A perfect refreshment for a warm day and absolutely delicious. All the fruit waste went straight into the compost too, so we’re keeping it green while keeping it tasty!

Our lovely volunteer Wendy was in today and made some tasty chocolate crispy cakes with the girls. Safe to say they didn’t last long. Chocolatey smiles all round!

The Wii Sports competition continued with lots of laughs, a few questionable bowling techniques and plenty of friendly competition. Let’s just say some of us are definitely more competitive than others…

A massive thank you to Robbie’s mam and Chloe’s mam for donating more raffle prizes. We really appreciate your support. Tickets are on sale now at just £1 a strip — don’t miss out!

Over in the greenhouse, the plants are absolutely thriving. The succulents are looking great, the banana plant is shooting up and we’ve got a brilliant variety coming along nicely.

Another cracking day at Five Acres — full bellies, big smiles and lots of fun!
