🌟 Happy Monday everyone! 🌟

We hope you all had a fantastic weekend – full of snacks, naps and maybe even clean laundry (if you were feeling brave 😅)!

This morning we got our planners out and sorted our activities for December… and WOW, there’s so much exciting stuff coming up! We’re basically turning into Santa’s workshop at this rate – elves pending. 🎅🧝‍♂️

Our Christmas dinner placemats are coming along brilliantly – Husqvarna won’t know what’s hit them when they see our masterpiece table settings. Michelangelo? Never heard of him.

Cooking School smashed it again today! On the menu:
🥔 Jacket potato with beans
🥧 Quiche
🥗 Salad
We like to think Gordon Ramsay would be proud (or at least mildly impressed).

This afternoon we wrapped up warm, went for a walk, and gave the animals their daily dose of attention – they’re practically celebrities now. 🐐🐔

A BIG thankyou to Sandra & Stan from Fracks Transport who always go above and beyond to help us transport and collect larger items ❤️

Another MASSIVE mention to PALRAM DPL Ltd our local plastic fabrication Company for supplying the sheets to clad our new extension... thankyou so much for all your help and sponsorship - making a huge impact on our new site.. 🙏 ❤️

It might have been a chilly one today, but don’t panic because we were fully prepared. Even the sheep turned up in their frosty winter coats like they were heading to a woolly fashion show. ❄️🐑✨

A HUGE shoutout to Gav, Mick and the absolute legends on the Team who have been smashing it on our new extension. It is looking UTTERLY AMAZING chaps! 🙌 They are on the home straight now after battling every weather type known to mankind. Five Acre Heroes and not the chocolate kind, although we would definitely eat you. 🍫💪

Meanwhile, our Garden Dream Team have been doing what they do best. They have been levelling driveways, securing fence panels and basically making the place look ready for its close-up. 🌱🌼❤️

And over in Cooking School, they treated us to the kind of Friday fuel dreams are made of. A glorious carbonara packed with chicken, ham, mushroom and broccoli. A full on carb celebration. 🍝🔥

To every single person who has helped us get this new site up and running, THANK YOU. We are so grateful. 🤩❤️
It is an incredible space that enriches our Champions’ lives and opens the door to endless opportunities. Here’s to the next chapter! 🎉✨

🌟 Happy Thursday everyone! 🌟

Today has been full of adventure, gratitude, garlic bread and Joe’s… interesting jokes. 😂

🚛 Operation Move-It!
More goodies have been transported from ROF to our new Brafferton site. It’s all taking shape nicely – it’s starting to look like more than just a field with dreams!

🎨 Arts & Crafts
We wrote gratitude letters to Santa to say thank you (in advance) for all the gifts we hope to receive. Manners cost nothing… but a new PlayStation would be nice! 🎮🎅

🍝 Cooking School
Lasagne, garlic bread and salad were on the menu today! The garlic levels were strong enough to keep the vampires (and possibly staff) away until Christmas. 🧄

🐴 Afternoon Adventures
We braved the cold to give Mr T and Bailey some love and attention. They were very grateful… especially for the snacks.

✨ Happy Wednesday everyone! ✨
We hope you all stayed safe in the snowy weather today. ❄️

Today we started decorating fairy cakes with Christmas sprinkles – they looked brilliant and definitely brought some festive cheer to the day!
In Cooking School, we made chicken burgers with chips and they were absolutely delicious. 🍔

A big thank you to Thomas, who helped out on tea duty today and made sure we all stayed warm in the snow. ☕ He did a great job looking after everyone.

The extension is coming along really nicely and it’s exciting to see the progress each day. 🚧

🎉 Happy Tuesday everyone! 🎉

What a fantastic day it’s been over at our Brafferton site — we’ve been busy, busy, BUSY!

First things first… a HUMONGOUS thank you to Husqvarna for our brand new Ninja Air Fryer! 🥷🍟
We are absolutely overjoyed — you’d think we’d won the lottery! The cooking team are now officially unstoppable.

Cooking School decided to keep it classy today with… 🥪 sandwiches! Simple. Elegant. Delicious. Gordon Ramsay would be proud (or at least slightly impressed).

We’ve also been decorating our very own placemats ready for our CHRISTMAS DINNER at Husqvarna! 🎄✨ Excitement is building. The festive spirit has arrived… and it brought glitter.

Extension update: it’s coming along lovely! 🚧
We even had some concrete delivered by Ashcourts today — which means something VERY exciting is on the way. Stay tuned…

Oh – and don’t forget to check out ‘Jokes with Joe’… comedy gold as always. 😂

All in all, a BRILLIANT day.

🎉 Happy Monday everyone! 🎉
What an absolutely cracking day we’ve had up at Brafferton today!

First off, we’ve been on a mission… a transporting mission. More bits and bobs have made their way to our new site.

Over in arts and crafts, we’ve jumped straight into the festive spirit. Christmas-themed thank you cards are officially underway and yes, we’re still finding glitter in places glitter should not be.

Cooking School absolutely smashed it today with toasties, fries and salad. Toasties so good they could win awards.

This afternoon we refilled hay nets and gave Mr T and Bailey the VIP treatment. Both horses are now fully stocked up and looking at us like we’re their personal butlers.

And exciting news… Tomorrow, Kyran and his ma are off to meet EDDIE HOWE at Newcastle! ⚽
We hope you have the best time ever and we cannot WAIT to see the photos. We’ll be refreshing Facebook like we’re waiting for concert tickets.

🌟 Happy Children in Need Day everyone 🌟

What an amazing Friday we’ve had. Our champions pulled out all the stops to raise money and show their support. The site was glowing with yellow today and the smiles were even brighter 💛🐻

A special shoutout to William who rocked his Pudsey onesie. He looked fantastic and brought the full Pudsey spirit to Five Acres.

In Cooking School our team cooked up a hearty meal to keep everyone going, with a choice of chicken dinner or sausage and mash. Perfect comfort food on a busy fundraising day 👩‍🍳🧑‍🍳

We also had the pleasure of welcoming Chris Blakelock from Oakes Energy and Rachel Galbraith from ISC Future Finance. These wonderful friends are supporting us with our renewable energy plans as we work towards becoming totally off grid 💚

Thank you to everyone who dressed up, donated, helped out and cheered each other on. Your kindness makes such a difference.

🌧️ Happy Thursday everyone! 🌧️

It’s been a very rainy one at our Brafferton site today – we were practically swimming our way through the day! 💦

But despite the weather, the team has been amazing. We’ve laid the foundations for our concrete block – lots of hard work, muddy boots, and a few soggy socks later! 👷‍♂️👷‍♀️

Over in Cooking School, today’s special was chicken and black bean sauce with rice – it smelled absolutely delicious (and yes, we were all very jealous). 🍚🍗

The extension is coming along nicely too – every day it’s looking more and more exciting! 🧱✨

And… we’re thrilled to share that we’ve been nominated for an award – Heart of the Community at SENDsations Gala: A Night of Stars 2026! 🌟💖
Wish us luck – we’ll make sure to polish our wellies for the big night! 😄👢

🌟 Happy Wednesday everyone! 🌟

What a cracking day we’ve had over at our Brafferton site – sunshine, smiles, and a whole lot of hard work (with a few laughs thrown in, of course!).

We kicked off the morning planting cherry trees kindly donated by the Woodland Trust – thank you so much! Our champions can now officially call themselves tree planters extraordinaire 🌳💪

Over by the stables, the lads were on a mission to banish those pesky puddles once and for all! Gravel was flying, teamwork was shining, and Manatsa worked his magic with the wacker to get everything level – total construction legends! 🚜

Meanwhile, Lauren spent her day in Staindrop cheering on Sarah Cox, who is absolutely smashing her marathon in aid of Children in Need – go Sarah! 🏅👏

In Cooking School, the team whipped up some delicious quiche, jacket potatoes, salad and beans – Gordon Ramsay better watch out, we’ve got stars in the making 👩‍🍳🧑‍🍳

We’ve also been working on some Christmas T-shirt prototypes today… and let’s just say, they’re looking festive and fabulous! 🎄👕

This afternoon we designed Pudsey-inspired masks ahead of Children in Need on Friday – don’t forget to wear your brightest yellow and bring your best Pudsey energy! 💛🐻

Mr T and Bailey enjoyed their salt licks and a good muck-out, with fresh haynets and water refilled. The sheep have been fed and watered too – happy animals all round! 🐴🐑

And a big shoutout to Wendy, one of our amazing volunteers, who joined us this afternoon – we love having you with us! 💚
