I am pleased to announce that our July STAR of the month is Beth.
When we arrive at a care call we don't always know what to expect. When Beth arrived her client needed urgent medical attention. Beth did everything that we are all trained to do in the most difficult of situations and her actions were praised by everyone involved.
A worthy winner and a true STAR carer. Well done Beth.

A huge thank you to Denise from the Alzheimer's Society who visited the office earlier today. We talked about Denise's role in the community visiting people with Alzheimer's and sign-posting them to people & services that can help. Denise was really interested to hear about our minimum 50-minute visits and set visit times, which for people with Alzheimer's is a huge plus!

We’ll definitely be keeping in contact with Denise and we look forward to developing the relationship further!

With all this hot weather it's important for everyone to stay hydrated...
Dehydration means your body loses more fluids than you take in, children and older adults are more at risk.
If it's not treated, it can become a serious problem.

This is a very belated mention for Olu and Agne who are our June ⭐STARS⭐ as they both had the same number of nominations at the monthly meeting last week.
Said one of Olu's colleagues - "I hadn’t worked with Olu for weeks but then was fortunate enough to join him on a couple of calls this month. It was a lovely reminder of what a professional courteous and hard-working colleague he is. He is also always courteous and kind to clients too."
While another colleague said Agne "Goes above and beyond as a team player and always helps in times of crisis."
There was nothing to choose between the two of them having received 3 nominations each. Only right therefore that we award both! Well done guys.

From the Carers Beth, Belinda & Rebecca and Tara, to the three lovely clients involved here (one of which also played a rendition of 'When I'm Feeling Blue" on their piano), you're blooming fabulous!
Today may not be a day for 'additional' activity, given the heatwave, but where everyone is able it's great to partake in the additional activities at visits that can, and do, make a real difference to peoples lives.
