There is a lot of ’talk‘ over the last few days about these cases in County Durham and I wish the individuals who are in hospital / recovering well. The treatment provided was an unlicensed product injected by a suspected unlicensed individual. If you are considering a toxin or any other prescription only treatment please chose a practitioner who is a prescribing nurse / doctor / dentist / pharmacist involvement. At Tyne Medical you will always be assessed for suitability of treatment and a legal prescription will be raised for your treatment before it happens. There is sometimes a reason why you pay £100 for 3 areas, stay safe everyone x

Reactions include severe drooping of the upper eye lids, double vision, difficulty swallowing, slurred speech and lethargy. Investigations are ongoing but evidence so far does not suggest that the product used has been contaminated. Symptoms are being reported a few weeks after injection.
