On Monday afternoon, the Neilston Strings Ukulele Band returned to Newton House for their first performance of 2026 🌟

As always, their lively music and cheerful atmosphere were a real hit with our residents, bringing smiles, toe-tapping, and plenty of sing-alongs along the way. It was wonderful to welcome them back, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the performance 💗

We’re already looking forward to their next visit and welcoming them back again very soon! 🎶😊

Today, our residents, staff, and visitors took part in a vegan taste-testing session to help us celebrate Veganuary! 🌱

Everyone had the chance to sample a variety of delicious plant-based foods, sparking plenty of curiosity, conversation, and smiles along the way. Our residents were wonderfully open-minded and enthusiastic about trying something new, and it was great to see so many people stepping outside their comfort zones. While opinions varied and there were a few mixed reactions, the overall experience was full of laughter and enjoyment 💚

Most importantly, everyone had fun exploring new flavours and learning more about a vegan diet. A lovely and tasty way to welcome Veganuary! 🌱😊

Roland Russell returned this afternoon and treated us to another fantastic singing session that truly lifted everyone’s spirits. From much-loved traditional Scottish songs to classic Western favourites, the room was filled with music, smiles, and happy memories 🌟

Residents and staff couldn’t help but sing along, clap to the rhythm, and even enjoy a little boogie together. A big thank you to Roland for bringing such joy, energy, and entertainment to our afternoon — we can’t wait to welcome him back again soon! 💃🕺🎵

The morning was filled with uplifting music, familiar tunes, and plenty of smiles as residents enjoyed another fantastic performance. Is it really New Year’s without the Old Firm match? ⚽🎉

Residents at Newton House thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon watching the ever-famous New Year’s Glasgow Derby. The atmosphere was full of excitement as we came together to celebrate a long-standing football tradition that means so much to so many 🌟

Sharing moments like these helps us maintain culture, tradition, and a strong sense of community—especially for our devoted footy lovers. A great afternoon of football, memories, and togetherness all round! 💙💚
