Medicines waste is a HUGE cost to the NHS in Scotland.

Far too frequently we get bags and bags of medicines returned that have gone unopened. If they have left the pharmacy, they can not be re-entered into stock, they have to go for destruction, to ensure they've neither been tampered with or stored out-with guidelines.

Please check your prescription bag before leaving the pharmacy and ensure that you've not already got stock of something in it at home.

If you return it to us before leaving we can reuse it saving the NHS, and ultimately you money!

If you use our CMS service or our 24/7 collection points please let us know if you are building up a backlog of any medicines please let us know.

Our 24/7 collection points at Welcome Pharmacy Creebridge and Welcome Pharmacy Wigtown, are simple, convenient and free to use. All you need to do it call to register.

You just give us your mobile number and when your prescription is ready to collect, you get a text with a unique pin number.
