On Thursday 11th December, we gathered at All Saints Church, Newton-le-Willows for a truly beautiful Christmas memorial service 🤍🎄

It was a perfect winter evening — a time to pause during the Christmas season, to remember, and to come together as a community in honour of the loved ones we have lost. Their names were lovingly read aloud, each one held with care, dignity, and respect.

The service was made even more moving by the girls from Hope Academy, whose soft and heartfelt singing filled the church with warmth and peace 🎶✨ The lighting of candles was especially poignant at this time of year — a reminder that even in the quiet and darker moments, the love we share continues to shine.

Afterwards, we gathered in the church hall to share refreshments, conversation, and moments of comfort — a true reflection of togetherness and community during the Christmas season ☕🤍

I am incredibly proud of Lisa and Nikki for the care, dedication, and organisation they put into making this Christmas memorial so special. Thank you to the church for offering such a beautiful space and for delivering such a touching service. Heartfelt thanks also go to Phil and Lynsdey for their amazing support throughout the evening.

Most of all, to the families we have had the privilege of looking after — thank you for allowing us to remember your loved ones with us. They remain forever in our hearts.

Tonight, and always, we recognise all those who have passed away — remembered with love, honoured at Christmas, and never forgotten 🕊️🤍

❄️Festive fundraising for a wonderful cause ❄️

As the season of giving arrives, schools across St Helens and Knowsley are invited to come together to support Willowbrook Hospice through this year’s festive fundraising event – Wear It Well for Willowbrook.

This cheerful campaign encourages pupils to bring a touch of festive fun to their usual school uniforms. From Christmas jumpers and sparkly accessories to colourful socks, children can show their holiday spirit while making a difference. Each pupil is asked to make a small donation of £1, with all proceeds going directly to support the compassionate care provided by Willowbrook Hospice.

This year’s campaign is proudly sponsored by Creative Hut, a local company dedicated to inspiring creativity and innovation in schools through hands-on learning in robotics, coding, and STEM-based activities.

As part of their sponsorship, Creative Hut is offering an exciting prize for one school in St Helens and one in Knowsley. Winners will be selected based on the average amount raised per pupil, ensuring every school – big or small – has an equal chance to win.

🌿 A Heartfelt Visit to Willowbrook Hospice 🌿

This morning, Lisa and Nikki had the pleasure of visiting Willowbrook Hospice’s Open Day. We were warmly welcomed and given a tour, where we learned more about the wonderful support and facilities available to families.

We even enjoyed the most amazing hand massage from the lovely Holistic Therapy Team while relaxing in the peaceful therapy room — such a calming experience!

Today truly showed us that Willowbrook is so much more than the stigma of death. It’s a place of comfort, creativity, connection, and care — offering spaces to relax, unwind, be social, and find peace.

A huge thank you to everyone at Willowbrook for inviting us and for the incredible work you do every single day for those in need. 💜

Today, Lisa had the honour of attending the Remembrance Parade on behalf of Merrony & Kynaston.
We were proud to lay a wreath in tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

It was a moving and meaningful occasion, bringing the community together to remember and honour all who served and gave so much for our freedom.

We will remember them. ❤️🌺
