🌸 💫 Embracing the New and Difference 🌸💫

What does it really mean to embrace something—especially when it’s not what you expected or wanted? 🤔

A good friend of mine said yesterday “Clare, embrace the look!” 🤩

For me, embracing means choosing self-love—not because I’m obsessed with my new look, but because I love and accept me no matter what. 💕 That’s one of the biggest lessons this cancer journey is teaching me: self-love and self-care are not selfish, they are selfless.🫶

And to be honest… I think I’m kinda rocking this bald look! ☺️✨ With my little baby bum fluff hairs starting to peek through, I can’t help but think of spring—a season of new beginnings, growth, and transformation. 🌱💫 😉

“To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.” —Oscar Wilde

I always tell my clients: if we can train ourselves to look for the good—even in the most challenging, heartbreaking moments—we will always find something…
A tiny spark of gratitude, a lesson, a moment of beauty. There is good in everything if we choose to see it. 💖

So here’s to embracing the unexpected, finding joy in the little things, and stepping forward with love and gratitude. 🌟

Anything that you can be grateful for today? 😉🌟

🌟 🌸 My Last Day of Chemotherapy 🌟🌸

Well, that’s a wrap for the chemo sessions at Raigmore Hospital! 🙌🏻
Today marks the end of a 4-month journey filled with physical, emotional, and mental challenges—but also countless beautiful moments. I want to send a huge thank you to all the amazing Macmillan Suite Nurses and Staff for taking such wonderful care of me. 🙏💕

I want to also shout out to Catherine Smith who gave me the most relaxing foot massage, thank you 🥰🙏

So lovely to see Morva McGuire again today and we celebrated with a glass of fizzy apple juice and mini cakes Morva had made 🤩

Throughout this journey, I’ve learned to appreciate the little things in life: quality time with my family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦, the strength of new friendships with fellow cancer treatment warriors, and the power of overcoming challenges 💪🤗

“The strongest people aren’t those who show strength in front of us, but those who win battles we know nothing about.”

I’m so grateful for everyone’s support, and I’m ready to step into the next chapter, whatever comes next. Cheers to new beginnings and the promise of brighter days ahead! 🌈✨

✨ Finding Joy in the Smallest Things ✨

Who knew that false lashes would bring me so much happiness? 🥰 And even better—who knew my husband would become an expert at applying them?! 💁🏻‍♀️😂 Yes, ladies… he’s available for bookings (if you’re brave enough!).

Losing my lashes was another reminder of how much we take for granted—those little things we never think twice about until they’re gone. But now, when I look in the mirror and see these beautiful lashes looking back at me, I feel a deep sense of gratitude and joy. 💖

It’s these small, unexpected moments that make all the difference. In the midst of everything, I’m learning to find joy not in what’s lost, but in what remains—and in what can be beautifully reimagined. 🌟

_“Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you’ll look back and realize they were the big things.” _—Robert Brault

So here’s to false lashes, unexpected talents, and finding joy in the smallest of things. ✨💕

🌍🎗️ World Cancer Day 2025 🎗️🌍

Every experience with cancer is unique, and it will take all of us, united, to create a world where we look beyond the disease and see the person before the patient. 💖✨

This , let’s stand together to rewrite the future of cancer care—one where the needs of people and communities come first. 🤝💙 Because change happens when we work as one.

🌟 Clare, Where Have You Been? 🌟

They say life is a journey, and these past few months have been one hell of a ride. It’s time to reflect, share, and bring you up to speed on what’s been happening on my cancer journey….

I’m now heading into my 4th round of treatment 💉, and let me tell you, it’s been a real f%* challenge. 🙃

Let’s Reflect…
• The cold cap? Tried it, hated it. Definitely not for me. 🥶
• Emergency hospital visits 🚑, and paramedics severe headaches 🤕, chronic fatigue 😴, mouth and nose ulcers 😷, and nausea 🤢 to name just a few—let’s just say my body has been on a rollercoaster. 🎢

And then… my hair.. I’ve been known by my family as Hairy Clarey so this was a real blow 🥺

We can’t pretend, anyone who knows “Clare,” you know my hair has always been my thing. Losing it after round two? It hit hard. 💔 I felt shock, sadness, and grief for the woman I once was. Looking in the mirror became a painful reminder of how much had changed.

By the third round, exhaustion and frustration took over, and guilt crept in:
• Why am I putting my family through this?
• Will my clients understand my absence?
• What does the future look like?

Ah, yes. Control. My old nemesis.💀

So, Clare, What Now? What Have You Learned? 🤫

Here’s what I’m holding onto moving forward:

✨ Care: I love myself and my body unconditionally. I nurture her with the love she deserves. 💕

✨ Love: I give gratitude to my family, friends, and community—they are my rock and anchor. Love transcends appearances. 🫶

✨ Acceptance: I let go of the need to control what’s out of my hands and focus on what I can. 🌊

✨ Release: I release guilt, shame, and judgment. I focus on the present moment. 🌸

✨ Energy: I direct my energy toward health and happiness, knowing what I focus on grows. I am healing every day. 🌟

CLARE - I’ll remember that acronym quite well 😬

A Quote to Hold Close:

“No one is an island; we are all connected and stronger together.” 🏝️🤲🏻

Soooooo… Tomorrow, I step into round 4 of treatment, and while this phase has been tough, I know there’s more to come. I’m learning so much about myself, and honestly… considering everything.. this girl is doing good. 💪

I want to thank every single one of you for your love, support, and kindness. You are part of my strength, and I couldn’t do this without you.

Stay tuned—I’ll be sharing more of my journey as it unfolds. 🌈

With love and light,
Clare 💫
