Vaughan Engineering Group has recently installed a new cloud-based ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central! 🌥️ This was a significant investment by the Group and was supported by Invest Northern Ireland 🚀💼
Over the past 12 months, we’ve been busy with system setup and testing, training users, and migrating data from our old system, which we’d been using for over 10 years. This involved a lot of extra work from the Finance and Commercial Teams, all while managing their regular tasks. 💪
We went live with the new system at the beginning of February with the help of Eque2 Ltd for all 5 group companies. All data was migrated smoothly, and processing began with minimal downtime. Since then, approximately 2,500 purchase orders have been raised and 6,500 purchase invoices processed.
The new system has brought many efficiencies to the business. 🌟 As it’s cloud-based, it can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection, via laptop, phone, or tablet. Some benefits we’ve seen so far include the use of AI to scan invoices, capturing goods received notes immediately via the app, and easier access to live cost information for the commercial team.
Overall, the implementation has been a success, and a big thank-you goes to all our staff for embracing the changes over the past few months. 🙌 The new system is making things much more efficient, and we expect even more improvements moving forward! 🌟
